On my cobra on the inside of the front wheel wells there is a black undercoating and it's pealing away, anyone know exactly what it is? Is it just underrcoating or a heat coating?

Usually just undercoating to help protect the fiberglass from starring thru the paint. Rock hits can cause issues thru the glass.

It could also be bedliner material but that stuff is usually pretty hard

3M undercoating is the most popular
I started using 3M truck bedliner a few years ago with wonderful results.

I met a guy years ago that had 1/4" thick dense rubber coating in his truck bed. He even had me drop bricks onto it to test it out... I don't know what the product was (I've searched for it), but it would be perfect for above the wheels if anyone knows what this product might be. It wasn't hard like line-x, rhino-liner, or current OEM coatings etc..
