This ebay kit will work with std gas tank in place. It is not functional and not deep enough.

I wonder if there would be interest in a correct S/C trunk with removable panel allowing service to the diffy, while using a real S/C style aluminum tank? I bet the cost would be only a bit more for what would be a real dead ringer result?

Just a thought I have had?

Hello, I make and sell the panels in the Ebay add.

The trunk kits were made for Contemporary cars to replicate the original 42 gal gas tanks. The rear panel is removable with stainless steel allen screws.

When Don Borders was making the Cobra kits, he installed our kits in his cars and the removable panel was to give access to the battery, which was often placed in the trunk.

If anyone has any questions about the trunk kits, please feel free to email me at
Cobrapanels@roadrunner.com

Also, in the future we will be selling the engine kits again. These are also the same ones Don Borders installed in his kits that he sold.

Thanks
Rick
