You should consider button head screws rather that rivets. Easier to control the amount of pressure to prevent cracking in the paint.

Geez, Peter - sorry, I didn't make the connection. I often wonder just how awesome these cars would be now if the company had continued and there had been continuing development on the cars over the years like ERA has enjoyed. They were such great cars to begin with, imagine the improvements that would have come over the years.

We have a very active owners group, let by Jeff Gagnon up in New Hampshire. Any chance we can convince you to get involved and lend your experience and expertise to us on occasion, answering some tech and historical questions for us? I know you have your hands full with the instruments and gauges business, but we'd love to have you contribute to our group if you have time.

I'm currently restoring an older car, built in December 1983, and hope to have it done this year, it was a real basket case when I got it. Lot's of guys have taken their CCX's up to a very high level, competitive with any car built today. Hopefully you'd like to have some level of involvement with us, we would certainly welcome your input and expertise.

Hi Doug, did you find something that works? I have the fiberglass hood scoop that came with my kit, it has 1/8" gaps at the extremes. It has never been mounted, let me know if you want to make a mold
