So did the original Daytona have vents on the rear like the F5 replica or not?

Yes the original Daytonas had vents on the rear, but are covered with plates.

Going back to the AC (A98) Coupe, and a question I've often wondered - if such a shape/car/quality replica existed, just how many good folk here would seriously (and I mean seriously) consider putting their hand in their wallet to own one? One would assume the quality was the equivalent of an SPF or similar and maybe priced in the same range)

Just thinking out loud :-)

Hey Buzz, thanks for posting the pictures so nicely so we can all compare and dream...

How about posting the pictures of the rebuilt AC A98 Coupe?
The original I mean, not the replica built in Australia
(It is beautifully done too)

It is by far my favorite and it has the great history of (in)famously going over 180 mph on the road in England. Which over time has erroneously been attributed to a Cobra.
