Default CSX 9000 - Engine Choice

IŽam Axel from Germany

I bought a Shelby Coupe and it will be reday for shipping end of May 2013.
In the past i had a SPC Coupe No. 40 with an Roush 402 IR engine installed.
Then i had a SPF Ford GT 40 with an Roush 427 IR and now i have a SPF MK III with a Roush 454, gread engine, we have the engine tested an it has more the 600 N (torque) and more the 525 PS (HP).
My question is: iŽam looking for a good looking engine, my favorited the Roush 427 IR.
What about a Shelby engine?
I ám looking for an engine carburtor, with Weber Carburetor oder 8 Stack fuel injection.

Thanks Axel

Personally, I think it should be a 289/302 based engine. Anything else just looks wrong.

The 9000 series coupe is set up for a 351 Windsor based engine. Anything else will require modifications and custome headres, etc.

The new 9000 series coupes aren't a replica of the original Daytona's?
I haven't been following the coupe stuff much.

Hi Axel - welcome back to the Coupe family! I have SPC0136 with Roush 427SR.

I am happy with the performance of my motor. Its an FI motor but not the Roush setup. Mass Flo.

Since you have experience with Roush I suspect you are read-up on various challenges people have had with different motors. If not I would suggest you search here as there is a lot of good information.

In terms of alternatives I suppose you can find a good engine builder in your area to setup a 351 based motor.

What color did you you get? Mine is Amulet Red (sold, no stripes...same color as Peter Brocks car).

Keep us posted on your progress. jjgrice55@gmail.com

Best Jeff
