Default AC for the Coyote

Does anyone have actual experience with using a 2011-2013 Mustang GT A/C Compressor ( I think the Ford part number is YC2559) with the Coyote Engine. I am not talking about the accessory kit available that includes a Power Steering, Bracket, etc that sells for about $1600. Sean Hyland has a kit but when I went to his web site I got warnings from my firewall security. Not wanting to spend any more money to remove virus' I thought I would ask here.

Thanks

Yes we've used it. I seem to recall it uses a special fitting and the best route is to buy the Ford lines as well and modify them to work for you. patf11 on here has the setup in his car.

Does indeed work fine.

Early Coyote engines with A/C used what Ford called stretchy belt (aka rubber band). Ford released TSB to convert to small serpentine belt used in later Coyotes. Involves new front cover etc. So depending on when/how Coyote was sourced this could be issue.

I just bought and received my Coyote Engine and the Build date is stamped on the front of the engine as 02 20 2013. So, after reading the service bulliten I just need to buy the tensioner and a new belt.

I am getting ready to start a new project and wanted everything in place when I started. I will be starting a build thread in the next day or so. My intentions are to do this build in a very short time once my chassis is completed by Larry Goins at JBL Motorsports. Larry told me it would be ready in about 4 weeks which will be next week.

I hope to provide anyone following my threads an accurate timeline for putting together a kit car. Of course for those wanting a turnkey kit the times will only be an estimate since most builders have more than one car going at the same time and they devote different blocks of time to these cars.
