McCluskey #11 back on ebay.
Buy it now for $265K. It looks like they even rolled it outside and took some slightly better pictures this time.

Maybe we ought to form a Kansas City consortium?

I'm in Bernie
What are you proposing? The lottery or everyone in M.A.C.C. kicking in $2,650?
We could each drive it 2 days a year? Dang that'd almost be worth it

It's only$4500/mo for 60 months at 5%.
You can get that from the cookie jar.

Guys, does anybody know much about these cars or know where I can go to do some research on them? I know it is one of the 12 commissioned by Shelby and built by McClusky. I am confused about the chassis numver CSX2611, I thouight these continuation cars had chassis numbers starting in the range of CSX6000? ALso, are there different specifications for these cars: ie: street, competition, original 289 chasiss.....? Bottom line is I want to understand what this car is and where it fits into the whole continuation car picture to determine if it is a good investment or not. Any thoughts? Thanaks Gary.

A little info.
I thought Mike McClusky had a website as recently as a few months ago but I have not been able to find it. It had quite a bit of information on these cars. Here is what I can remember.
He is a very well known and respected cobra restorer. If anyone knows how the real cars went together he does.
I think the first one he did was based on a 289 roadster frame for Lynn Park (Trigo). It had been in a fire or something. And it continued to use the roadsters original CSX number, I thnk CSX 2405.
When he struck the deal with Shelby to build the continuation cars I think shelby gave him unused CSX numbers (I think 8 of them) and these cars may be built from scratch with new frames.
I think they are as accurate a reproduction as is possible. In fact they may be more perfect that the original cars, which are all a little different. They are primarily race cars driven on the street but some have had a few ammenities like air conditioning added.
Regarding future value, they are continuation cars in much the same way that CSX 4000 and CSX 7000 cars are. They have Shelby's blessing and are recognized (with an * ) by SAAC. They are hand built limited production. As long as that situation remains I think they are almost worth what this guy is asking and will appreciate. But what do I know... I don't really participate in that price range
If you buy it can I have a ride?
