Keyless entry
A company, I have found that has a very compact and complete keyless door latching system is Rocky Hinge Co. rockyhinge.com. Their SDP-01 for $200 is a very serviceable unit. Combine this with their door poppers and you have a system that requires no complicated systems in the door. The unit bolts to the door as the latch and is compact and complete. The bear claw latch and actuator are one unit. Run a solid wire or I run a plastic coated flexible wire to an inside door handle an you are done.
The keyless entry helps with security as people don't know how to open the door. The system serves as the way I lock mine.
