Additional cooling
Just as a possible alternative to a different method of adding additional cooling, is to cut an opening in the lower pan directly in front of the radiator. Please see the picture. In this case, I am using it for the mounting of the power steering cooler. This opening is covered with 1/8 ss screen, available form most circle track part suppliers. Sold by the running foot, three feet wide for about $17 a foot.
The hole can be as big as you want it, within reason. It serves two functions, one it helps reduce front end lift and two adds additional pressure rised additional air through the radiator while moving.
For those trying to get their Daytona to look original, this modification is undetectable from outside the car.
