Daytona Coupe vs. The Monkeemobile
Saw this vid on another site. Pretty good, never seen it before. I am wondering if this was a real one. Back in this time, I don't think they were building replicas. Pretty cool!

A decent 427 - not the worst, not the best, will go from zero to 100 mph and back down again to zero in less than 14 seconds. All thing considered, you can put together a pretty good argument that the 427 Cobra is the ultimate performance car, judged on any basis you want to name." Yep, it was real. It may have been the same one that Shelby leased to studios for use in the movie Redline 7000, but I can't remember for sure.
The 4000lb Monkeemobile beating a Daytona Coupe through the twisties. Gotta love it. Nobody suspended disbelief like The Monkees.

That's some serious Monkee business.

I hate to admit it, but I remember seeing that on TV- yes I watched the Monkees!! Hey Hey I'm a Monkee!!!
It must have been very early in the Coupes life because NO rear spoiler on this Coupe- just the slot for the air to come out (that eventually got covered with the spoiler and then the spoiler had the slot).
Anyone else see anything "different" about this coupe vs there final configurations?? Any idea of the date of the orgional broadcast?? They also used a Coupe in an Elvis movie, he comes upon it stuck in a ditch, but if memory serves me correctly, the Elvis movie Coupe has a rear spoiler.

If it was early in the coupe's life, it should have been painted viking blue. That looks like guardsman blue.
Elvis is in 2 movies with Cobras, but the other movie you are thinking of is Redline 7000, and Elvis is not in that one.
