Smile Pictures Of The 2299 Coupe

I attended a party for Bob Bondurant last Thursday night..It was his 40th anniversary for having a driving school and the 2299 Ford Daytona Coupe was at the party and I took quite a few pictures of it inside and out...I don't know how to post them so if anyone wants them from me to post I'd be happy to forward them on... I love the cupholder by the passenger's left knee. Gotta have one. I currently have none.

When the bracket isn't holding an extinguisher, I guess you could use it as a cup holder.

My pleasure Ron.....I hope that you allllll get a chance to see it..I do know that Walton does race it every year at Monterey and a gentleman that was their this year told me that he saw the car in a turn and all four tires were smoking....Walton does drive with the pedal to the metal no matter what the cost of the car is..I heard that the coupe is worth $15 million...It certainly doesn't feel like it standing their next to it..I wish I could have seen what was under the hood but none of the cars inside ,where the party was ,had the engine compartments opened...There was the coupe, 67 Mustang racing GT350, an original Cobra racing cobra roadster and a racing Cheetah , the newer version.. Dave

I hate to say it, because I have an FFR coupe but the 2299 coupe back half of the car does remind me of the Superformance coupe..The rear hatch has the high slope to it and the FFR has the lower slope if you know what I mean..Wish I would have taken that picture..The car is based here in Scottsdale and I might get a chance to go over and take some well thought out pictures for you all.. dave

I just need to add one more thing..I had the opportunity to meet , talk and get autographs from Dan Gurney, Phil Remington and Bob Bondurant.. Those three people are the nicest ""GENTLEMEN"" you would ever want to meet and I mean that sincerely..Very CLASSY people...Dave
