Default 429 and toploaders

David,
I have a 429 and am considering a toploader in a Lonestar or Shell Valley Cobra. Do you have suggestions as to bell housing, plate, clutch, and linkage combinations. I've been told that I may need to modify the tunnel in the Lonestar for clearance. Do you have any experiance with any of those types of problems. I expect between 450 and 500 HP from this project engine. Thanks for your time.
Nick C.

I recommend a Lakewood bellhousing, McLeod billet steel flywheel, McLeod 12" Dual Performance disc and diaphragm pressure plate.
The tunnel clearance issues are on the drivers side were the shifter control box bolts on to the tailhousing. I do not remember exactly what has to be done to make everything clear but it should not be too difficult.
