Which Parts?
David, can you answer the following questions...
Which toploader bellhousings from the ID chart on your site can be used with an FE motor in a Cobra? It looks to me that the "correct" Cobra bellhousing is the C5AA-A? Is this right? And what other ones will work?
For the trans, it looks like the HEH-BY is the proper Cobra toploader. Will any FE toploader work as long as it's a close ratio, 28 spline?
Is it true that a Tremec TKO will bolt up to a toploader bellhousing? I was told this to be true, but had never heard it before.
I have a 4000 series Shelby on order, and am trying to figure out what trans I want to run. I want the toploader for correctness, but lots of toploader guys who've switched to 5 speeds say it's the way to go. I just don't like the look of the Lakewood bellhousing, but if I can use a TKO with an OEM toploader bell, I think that's what I'd do. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
Sal
