Insurance
Hello,
Looking for some insurance companies that are handling cobra replicas in the State of Florida. It seems like almost everyone has pulled out of the State...does anyone have any recommendations?

I have no idea about Florida but allot of insurance companies like State Farm offer special insurance on low mileage collector cars. They have restrictions such as the total miles per year you drive. But it is cheap! I pay less than $400 a year for $50k replacement coverage.

I have State Farm for my other cars, however they do not do any insurance on Replicas in Florida, they do not have a specialty side here. Grundy no longer insures, haggerty will not insure anything under 65K and you must have a appraisal. Has anyone tried the insurance company that advertises on here?

State farm insures mine, but it is not cheap. They had it under a classic policy for a while, but the underwriters caught on and now it is insured as a 2007 kit car (year of build), although titled as a '66. runs me $800 every 6 mo.

CHECK OUT BARRETT JACKSON INSURANCE:
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/galle...e/dailyphotos/
THEY ARE GETTING MY BUSINESS FROM HAGGERTY AND I'M SAVING ABOUT $300 A YEAR. THEY OFFFER "AGREED VALUE" AND THEY WILL COVER A RACE CAR FOR PHYSICAL DAMAGES WHILE IT IS IN STORAGE OR TRANSPORTATION ONLY...NO TRACK COVERAGE OR LIABILITY. CHECK THEM OUT.

Groopie and acmjg, did State Farm tell you if there is a claim, they get to determine the value and that your receipts, appraisals, etc will not matter. So if they determine its worth 10k that is all you can get? Scared the hell out of me.

I just signed up with Robbin today. Much better than what I was doing previously.
He is in the office.

I signed up with Robbin when I got my car several months ago. He was very easy to deal with and rates were good. I tried using State Farm and their underwriters finally agreed to cover it, but I was more comfortable going with a company that specialized in these type vehicles. Several of the other Cobra owners here in Northern Alabama use him as well!

I started off with what is now the Barrett Jackson insurance (before it was rebranded). The Delp folks are a dream to work with. They will also write standard automobile, homeowners and umbrella policies. I moved all of my insurance there. For their standard auto policies they can now write 12-month terms, and if you pay the entire premium the discount is substantial. I moved all of mine at once and so ended up with about $6000 of insurance due in Feb. I've since "canceled" and reinstated (in the same transaction) some of the policies so that they come due in staggered months.

Thank you for the help everyone, Midwest Classic Insurance, Robbin, was fantastic. The process was quick and painless and he was LESS THAN 1/2 the price of Progessive or State Farm. Groopie, ACMJG call him, his price was less than what you pay for 6 months for the entire year. Well worth the call. Thanks again for the help!
