The 2010 Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival was a “Smashing Success” according to event Chairman Ford Heacock. A cloudless day with perfect Fall temperatures emphasized the brilliance of the chrome and color of nearly 700 classic show cars in Downtown Lakeland, FL. Nearly 200 volunteers contributed to flawless execution of hosting what must be considered central Florida’s premier collector car event. The Chamber of Commerce weather brought out a huge crowd of spectators – filling the streets of downtown Lakeland and the promenade of Lake Mirror Park. Previous estimates of 35,000 spectators must have surely been exceeded.
Trying to take pictures really proves that the attendance figures are correct, trying to get just the cars can really be hard with all the arms and legs in the pictures.
