Registration and Titling in Georgia
I know this has been widely addressed in other area threads about registration and titling, but I'm hoping to get some details specific to Georgia. Any thoughts or direction would be greatly appreciated.
I'm getting close to purchasing a new Unique 427SC with a 406 from Southern Automotive. The car was built by Bruce Botti in CT and he remains the seller. We've correponded quite a bit about the car and I've spoken with both Unique and Southern Automotive. My wife and I are visiting Bruce this coming weekend and hope to make a decision soon thereafter. This will actually be our first time seeing the car "in person", so if anyone out there has seen it or has thoughts, they would be greatly appreciated.
Since this car has never been titled or registered, it's first time will be in Georgia. I believe this also means sales tax. The MSO on the car is 1965 and the goal is to register as such for the obvious reasons. What are your experiences and "lessons learned" about what forms, documents, and procedures are needed, etc.
FYI, I live up in Duluth but happen to be in the corner of Fulton County. Love that higher property tax with Gwinnett only 2 miles away!
Thanks all and look forward to meeting you.
