Default Anyone dealt with Cobra Restorers LTD?

My CSX4000 needs some minor work done on it, and being new to the area I don't know who I can trust. Has anyone used Cobra Restorers for service on their cars? I'd love to hear your experiences before I commit. Thank you for any help.

Has anyone had service through Cobra Restorers recently, there was some question as to whether or not they had qualified people currently working for them. Anyone?

They are the last place I would use, and about as arrogant as you can get and I use to have original cars before I had my Kirkham's, if that tells you anything. I usually do my own work and always have. I do know some one who is excellent and I know you would be happy with them, but they are here in Indiana. By the way, I am coming down your way in May with my Street Rod to the Street Rod Nationals, Tennessee is a nice state. Good luck !

Hmm... doesn't sound good Larry. Thanks for your thoughts, so maybe I'll be going to Olthoff in N.C.

Ned replied in the other thread regarding this.

My reply in the duplicate thread basically suggested that any experiences from years gone by may not be reflective of what is going on there today, as the Cobra Restorers head honcho, Chuck Gutke, died back in 2015. I happen to have had a really crappy experience with the shop, but that was many years ago. Likewise, I know several people who had good results, but again, many years ago. My point is, do your homework and find out who's running/ staffing the shop today, and get some recommendations from the past couple of years.

Thanks Ned, I will check with Cobra Restorers, but I'm leaning toward Olthoff based on recent feedback at this time.
