Default SC registration

I'm moving from the DFW area to Greenville SC shortly.
I had some questions on registration and tags. The SC reg threads I found on the Club Cobra forum are quite old though.

My current car is a Backdraft. TX titled as a 65 with reg and plate as 65 as well.

Thanks in advance for any guidance or info.

spdbrake,

I assume if you were to PM mrmustang he'd offer useful insight. He's in Greenville, SC and appears to have vast experience in such matters.

Best of luck! Brent

SC will swap your TX title over without any issues.

Yes, it really is that simple

Plus, no front plate in SC, no inspection either.

I do not recommend going for a "Antique" tag.

Enough said.

I've bought/sold several Cobras in SC and as mentioned, you don't want to do anything special.

Everett Morrison Cobra, Factory Five Cobra, etc.

Just go into the DMV as if you have any old car with a title. As long as it's a valid title from another state, you'll get registered, new plate, on the same day.

They will usually mail you the new title on out of state titles.

As noted, no front plate and no inspections.

Easy Peasy.

You are only up the road from me by about 45 minutes so connect with me on Facebook. Look up Brian Klecker.

I can connect you to local car events worth knowing about as well as some of the local Cobra stuff.

Welcome to SC, Brian
