Doesn't look like I'll be there in yellow. The Vette is going bye-bye. Looks like I'll have to beat on the wifes new Stang.

No where near as much fun beating on a Mustang.
Can you tape a Chevy logo on her for the day?
So, have you ordered the Coupe yet?
See you this weekend.

Mike,
Lots of spots available.
We would like to see about 20 cars out there so we can maintain more runs per car.
Cost has been $100.00 with $50.00 as the deposit.
So, are we going to see the infamous E/M on the road?
Hope to see you again. It's been too long.

Better save those excuses. You'll need 'em later.

Jim,
Good to see you and Lori yesterday.
Too bad the two of you left early. You missed the 2 hour ride from the track out to I-75. Oh Yeah, what a blast!!!
You would think that they would have the Gator Nationals traffic figured out by now!
We didn't get home till almost 10:00.
Long hot day and John Force lost in the first round.
On the brighter side, Your Mustang sounded awesome and I cant wait to see how she runs on the track.
You gotta bring her to Gainesville in June.
Talk to you later and good luck on selling the vette.

Glad everyone is coming back to Gainesville. This time I'll have my Cobra finished and ready to go! If I had to spend another meet sitting on the side lines I was just plain gonna cry.
As always, anyone with Gainesville questions, feel free to ask the local. I might not know the answer, but I'll at least give a creative one.

That is 11 so far. I feel certain that Jerry Rowley will attend if his health is up to it. I will not be able to attend this time and I am already having withdrawls. I might make the wife feel so sorry for draging me to a cruise ship the weekend of our third track event she will let me go to the DV spring fling or one of John Woerheide's track events.
Another Plus is Dennis Olthoff said he might come and show us that the hairpin turn is perfect for cobras. Someone will have to video tape him doing smokey powerslides thru this tight turn.
If Jerry and Dennis attend that makes 13 drivers so there is room for about 7 to 10 more. How can anyone who owns a cobra resist getting to legally and safely testing its or your limits with a professional driver there to show you the way? The total cost for a whole day of track time should run less than $120 per driver and everyone should get 6 to 8 runs of 5 laps. That is only $3 to $4 per lap. It cost that much to rent a stinking 5hp go-cart ride in Panama City, FL.

Ruble,
My wife wanted me to go on a cruise but I get seasick so she took her daughter with her, she had a great time and I stayed home. You can never plan anything when you already have plans. If you make it to DVSFII, I will see you there.

I/m Coming, I'm Coming!!!
I will definitely be there to race Ken Collett with the same wheel and tires he is now using. I'm going to mount them and use them up at Unique Homecoming in May. I'll be practiced and ready for all comers!

It's going to be HOT......be ready!
As I write this it's supposed to go up to 95 f today, and we're still more than
one month away from June 8th. Be sure to bring plenty of water and fluids
for yourself and your car. The DSCC will provide a shelter tent with minimal
shade, but you're own your own for liquids. I'm hoping that we will once again
be able to have lunches catered in to the infield.
We do not want any cars overheating and puking on the test track so PLEASE
make sure that you have an overflow (puke tank) installed on your car.
(This is a DSCC and Gainesville Raceway requirement)
A coolant system, fan, and belt check, might be a good thing to consider one
day soon.
Sunscreen and a good hat might make a usefull addition to your kit bag as
well.
We still have a few track slots left ! Don't be left out in the cold.....er...heat!

Joe and fello Gainesville attendies.
I'm rigging up an awning for my trailer so I'll have a shaded area to rest ourselves.
The wife is talking me into an A/C unit for the trailer as well.
Gotta get that generator installed soon.
Talk about a trailer queen
I'll be bringing lots of fluids, for the drivers and Cobra's.
Maybe we can talk Dino into a Cobra diaper for his car in case it decides to puke again.
Looking forward to it.

Thanks, Ed!
Sounds great, but if you A/C your trailer, we'll NEVER get anyone out of there
to flag the turns!

Lets take a vote on the tent for the event. It cost about $150 to rent the tent and we hardly use it as most use someones awning or bring their motorhome. This money could be used to buy more water or at least lunch as it works out to $8.00 to $10.00 per person and I feel it is not getting used enough. Jerry Rowley and Myself think it is not necessary and mybe we could all pitch in some money to engineer ed to use his trailer with A/C.
We have 12 slots filled and we have room for up to 24 so there are sme slots left. Other than Ken Collett there are no Superformances and there are only a couple of FFR's. Considerng the trash talk these guys put out on the internet I would think there would be many more willing to attend. At the last event there were as many Hunter Cobras as Superformances and Hunter has built less cars than Superformance sells in a couple of months.
Time to quit waxing and start pushing your beasts.
I just wish I could attend but the wife says I have to ride on a cruise ship that week. Anyone want to go with her

OK,
I bought the 5000 Watt generator and tarp last night.
Now I'm getting the pieces together to erect the thing as an awning. I guess Tent poles will work....
I'm not sure how cool it will be inside the trailer as their is no insulation, but it will be a break from the heat.
Installing shelves and storage this weekend.
Money is no issue, put it towards lunch.
Just get me a decent parking spot in a centralized location.
I'll check on the other forums to see if I can find more drivers.

Ok the track time is open to all comers. Vette's, Audi's, Mustangs, Yugo's, etc. I promise if you come you will have the most fun you have ever had...with your clothes on that is. ~
