Cmon guys these cars are made to be driven, my wife and I did part of the east coast power tour in our car we did the daytona to ocala to panama city beach run, and it rained more on two of those days than last years DSCC meeting in Tallahassee. But the third and fourth days were beautiful even the 9-10 hour drive from panama city beach to Melbourne run was no problem. Seeing as Hot Rod isn't doing the east coast thing anymore we are thinking about the cruisin the coast tour the next time they have it. Somthing to think about for you drivers out there. We are driving up Thursday and leaving the Melbourne area I-95 Crackle Barrel about 9am. For any of those interested.

Pillow? I don't need no steenkin' pillow!...
and I sure don't need no steenkin' man giving me no massage either (I'm guessing that's what you meant)....
To quote "Francis" (don't know the actor's name) from the classic movie Stripes with bill Murray and Harold Ramis, "any of you homo's touch me, I'll kill ya'"...
-----------------------------------------------------
Mike (eticket),
You are absolutely right and thanks for talking some sense (?) into me. I'm 95% convinced I'll drive my car to Atlanta, the other 5% is that nagging voice in the back of my head saying "you'll be sorry!".
But, I did afterall build my car for just this sort of occasion and I'm not about to cheat myself out of an opportunity to torture myself...
Mike, when you take these long trips with your wife, do you tell her that you're not carrying a spare tire? Oops, sorry, I hope she's not going to read this...

A spare tire, a heater(heading north you know), a defroster, a top(hard or soft) and comfort, I could go on and on. Plus the way I have my foot on the throttle with 3 mpg and gas going up daily because they know I'm going on this trip. Well, towing is also a first, I just bought the trailer last month. I will have plenty of time to put miles on in Georgia.
Dan Just keep things on!

OK,
FWIW, Jim Pomroy and I are leaving Valrico just after 8:00.
FIA Fred is joining our convoy pulling his Cobra.
Jim Broome is joining us in Wildwood and we are trying to link up with Mike Iodice at I-10 ~ I-75.
Mike, please forward me your cell number so we can link up.
My cell is: (813) 765-3769.
We should be in that area before noon.
Looking forward to it.

Good deal on leaving early....
I'm all for getting on the road ASAP....
Ed, I e-mailed my cell phone number to you and Joe Smith. Joe lives somewhat near to Ocala, so he can probably hook up with you and the others there. I'll meet you guys at the I-75/I-10 interchange. Now all we have to do is calculate the timing of this thing.
I wish I was on the road right now!! The weather here looks pretty good for drivin' with the top stowed.....
