Default 2nd annual DSCC Meeting

The second annual DSCC meeting was a great sucess despite the rain Saturday afternoon. All of us owe special thanks to those who made this all possible:

Kieth Mcfarland(excelguru) and His wife Elizabeth for seting all this up and keeping us straight. He did all this without owning a Cobra but I am happy to say he was bitten so hard he ordered a Unique a few weeks before the meetin. Did you guys notice Kieth kissing his dual carbs siting on the table at Southen Automotive.

Bill and Susan Parham of Southern Automotive: If you do not know they spent the last two weeks getting the shop ready for our visit at the expense of business. Bill is a true Blue Oval man with a adversion to Bow Ties. They gave the profits of the items sold to the Club so we now have a real treasury for me to guard with my life. The BBQ and Sandwices were the best. Again thanks.

Paul an Enzo Alibrandi of finish line: They provided the Cobra eye candy for the door prizes. Just wish they could have been there.

Doug Reed of Superformance Lousiania. For the great gumbo for the Friday night registration.

Dennis Olthoff (the mad South African burnout King): for the great seminar on how to properly drive a Cobra and for geting us the Bilstein Shock rep. I now know more than I want to about shocks..err..dampers.

The Weavers frm Unique for being there and representing the Unique people

Randy Hunter and his Son for taking time to bring two of his customers cars there at his expense.

And last but not least all the members who took a chance and showed up despite the rain and made this event a sucess.

Sorry about the poker run getting rained out but I feel that everyone geting together and getting to meet the faces behind the screen names was worth the trip.

Congratulatins to Dan Wulff for getting elected President and Kieth McFarland for getting V.P.

I still get to count money and fill out deposit slips. The treasury now has enogh money that we can afford to incorporate and get insurance.

Had my trailer loaded and my wife went ahead with the kids. Then the rain started. Rained in Montgomery about 1" and all the way to Atlanta. Turned around and came back. Wife and kids had great time at Steeplechase anyway. Yesterday when the rain cleared I went for a ride and my alternator went out . Guess its just as well. How many showed ? Many spectators?

My last count was 39 cobras, 1 gt-40 and one Shelby Mustang
I think we had about 80 people at dinner. The car show got very little rain but the poker run was washed out

ffcobra,
Where else could you have a car show and also have your car worked on but at Southern Automotive. We had a FFR with a bad water pump repaired in the shop at Southern, I'm sure they could have taken care of a alternator also. Rain or shine we need 100 % of our people to attend when you plan something for a year and you can't have a rain date, with people coming from 8 states. I drove 10 hours to come up from Cape Coral Florida to be there, because I had to meet up with all the people who post but now I can put a face with those that post.
