pro driver at Gainesville
Just heard from Dennis Oltoff today and he is going to the June 8th event at Gainesville, FL. This is a big plus for all going as he has indicated he will give any interested parties pointers on driving a Cobra on a road course.
This makes two Superformance Cobras to beat Dennis Oltoff and Ken Collett. I wish I could be there but I will be kicking it on a big dingy in the Gulf.
Chris Allen and Engineer ED will be there to keep up FFR's Honor the rest of you FFR guys should be ashamed for not showing up. Just think two famous Cobra Guys at one event(Engineer Ed and Dennis Oltoff) get your autographed pictures made with the great ones
Good luck guys and have a great time
P.S. Someone please get this on video tape and send me a copy.

Ruble...if I remember correctly..Jason, with his 608 flywheel Hp'd Screaming Yellow Zonker kicked everybody's butt the first event. The second event was dominated by a Z06 vette...but Ed did hang tough for 3rd. My car, on the other hand, puked and died at the second event...and even running perfectly...I don't think Dennis O has anything to worry about with me!! dino

the Vette kicked everybody's but both times. Jason did have a couple of fast laps but was not very consistant. Something about having drag radials on te rear and too much power.
Dennis has a pretty fast small block Superformance with a Roush Motor in it. I think over 400 hp in a 302.

Watch out for Dennis O.
At VIR, he was seen doing in excess of 160 MPH on the straights.
In addition, he was casually doing 'donut's in a number of turns just for fun.
I was behind him at VIR and watched him setup for the turns. He kicks the a$$ end of the car out and goes thru most turns side ways.
An amazing driver.
Have fun and be safe!!!

Hey Guys,
Let me clear something up
I am an amateur with a capitol "A"
The first time I was EVER on a road course was the first Gainesville trip and I have not been back since due to work. Im sure with everybody practicing I will be at the BACK of the pack.
I never did get my new brakes installed so I will be running on stock disk/drum setup.
Im sure I will see the tail lights of most there.
My car makes decent power but will be pullied down to make less boost/power.
Jason

Jason...don't do it!!! If you can't win...at least you can have the biggest one there!!!! I mean, the car with the most HP, of course!!! It's really too bad we can't have a two day event...one day for drag racing, and one for the track. Of course, I guess Run and Gun does that...but not in FLORIDA!!! dino

You guys should crash the Fun Ford Weekend and get a few runs on the strip.
Jason might do pretty good there as it is all straight running

I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Friday night. Try to make it for dinner at 7PM. Joe Smith has something arranged for us. Don't forget we have a 9PM meeting that is MANDATORY (for Dino, that means you can't miss it Dino!). I got your check for the "second driver" Is this a ringer? Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Ed, watch out! He's after you now!
Jerry

Jerry..maybe he's a "mandatory ringer"...you know, somebody you bring along when you think you might get your ass whipped!!! Well...I just pulled my back out..can't hardly walk..and have new brake lines, shoes, fluid, serpentine belt, Alternator brackets, plugs, oil, filter, fire estinguisher, valve cover gaskets, all new...all ready to install before "THE DAY"...and all I can do is look at the stuff. Tried to work on THE BEAST earlier today...lasted all of 3 minutes. Hope my chiropractor can help me tomarrow...or I'll be running her as she sits!! dino
