This post is rate PG-13 by whoever decides stuff is PG-13.

Guys I am on vaca this week. Let's not push this idea until we hear back from my idol JW. When I grow up (that's a big if) I want to be like JW--flying to MO to race--oh my oh my. He who own's "it" must be happy after a good show on Sunday .... great entertainment. My lift got electricity today, yippee. Studied the underside of the snake for hours it seems. Arms clear the frame no probs!! Tomorrow I will probably actually replace horns in the 930. Frustrating driving that beast with no horn whatsoever.

Of course, yours truly "Mister Anal", measured the lift at full extension, and it was 6 inches short of spec--I had been crouching all day under the snake. Mister Anal then read install guide, the baboons left behind as requested--at least they followed a request (that's another story which I will try to clip from SCOF) and I find out they had not filled the sump all the way. One smoke billowing long holeshot to Super Target on Rte. 92 for Dexron III, and lift was happy. Blead the struts, and we now have full erection, errr, height. If Dexron III can do that for my lift, wonder what it will do to....never mind

Here's how my Friday went (re:lift)

"Bill,

Good news is I got my lift installed today :-)

I left the installers with the following ONE instruction (1 only, so their feeble minds could absorb it) "Do not f$%k up the floor, no scratches, gouges, take your time". Bad news, even though these knuckleheads used cardboard, so they say, I have huge chips/gouges in the Valspar waiting for me for my return from work. Already called company saying I will be sending bill to them. They are coming out to inspect--fine--I have an arm long list of folks who were here just yesterday who can verify this floor could be used as a dinner plate before these Baboons arrived. The blue paint marks (which I could easily remove) are dead giveaways that these zoo escapees did it. I will let you know what it's like to fix these spots!! Already called floor guy as well. I actually should have given these neanderthals 5 instructions on top of the one, like, don't get your greasy monkey hands on my freshly painted walls, do not throw your cigarette butts all over (especially near the hay bales--not kidding), clean up when you are done, keep your paws/hands off my stereo, etc. That's what I get for going with the low bidder!!! UUGGGHHH!!!"

IF YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT, DO IT YOURSELF. then again, with 250-300lb towers, it ain't easy.

Hi,
I have been meaning to post willis 100 pictures for some time but have not yet had them developed. What a fun time we had . This weekend is Atlanta Motor Speedway, but I'm in for Saturday only helping a buddy with his car and maybe driving a little. There may be a nice dinner at the track like last time either Friday or Saturday night
Cooley, you and Rankin come up Saturday to AMS, but, check saftey equipment first at the website I emailed you.
Kieth, you mean your car looks that good and it is not painted yet ? Wow, maybe I need to go to cosmetic rehab. I thought it was painted black. Sure looks nice.
Mike-can I use your lift ? Please put me on a pedastal .I'm having a few problems with big red and hate to crawl around in the gravel. I would be afraid I would ruin your floor though. I feel sorry for the guys that installed your lift. I bet they have never seen anything like your toybox before. If they ask what you do for a living, tell them you install garage compressors.Let's meet at your garage on a Sunday since they don't sell beer on Sunday and I bet you have lots.
Spiderman, you blabermouth dork, don't jinx my big adventure and don't even consider any other of the drivel you somehow managed to type above, and maybe you can join the normal (more normal ?) people for the next flightless takeoff lessons.

JW

JW,

I take it the AMS thing is WorldCarz?--I haven't checked their schedule lately. You are welcome as you know anytime and yes there is a fridge with cold ones in it, plus I have never seen Big Red in person. When the lift guys ask what I do, the best response may be, "I'm a lawyer!!"

Mike - Tell them you used to be a sniper for Uncle Sam and now you make money by "solving problems" for third-world countries and wealthy foreign clients. That'll get their attention!

JW - Good to hear from you! All kidding aside, we won't even think of using "the strip" if it makes "You Know Who" uneasy. We're not trying to invite ourselves over, either. Some of us just got hooked last time. We promise to behave. Sort of. Thanks for the compliments on the car. I can't wait till it's painted!

What is Big Red?

Keith

JW,

[Nobody posted since my original post so I will edit] Look's like the local Porsche crew (including me) will be showing up "en masse" for the WorldCarz event you are going to. I need to get busy installing the cool suit set up [done as I edit this] and I will need to send Shayla a note saying I am switching from Roebling to AMS since I prepaid way back in April [done with approval from them in response--great folks!!]. Just got done tightening up the oil pan on the SPF and cleaning the underside, I now have horns working in 930 [you haven't heard horns like these often--now I know why I was so timid driving the beast]. I took this week off from work and am fixing everything in sight. JW, call me when you know your plans. BTW, do I look like I eever run out of beer????

Keith, I would tell them that, but I am planning on hiring one, and I don't want the trail too close to me

[The chief pecker is coming tomorrow to inspect, already talked to owner, things got really hoppin' today--geez what a vaca..actually it's great--got all this car stuff straightened out!!] You may not see me for week, 'cause it's now time for the important stuff...family--John, can you watch my kids at the track Saturday........I'm not kidding [Why do I have this inner voice telling me JW will see this post and never reply, yet he'll be at the track, "Your post on CC, what post??...kids, what kids??"

Spyderman, I just realized after a reviewing a few of your posts and giving them some time for thought (guys I need to spread "it" (aka thought) out wisely...give me a break), that you are ONE SICK DUDE!! If your pit crew ever needs work, please let me know. Can you send them here for a pit crew timing session?

Default September Event

Keith,

The air-strip day sounds great.

Let me know when you have a date.

We'll see what a little sub 400ci small block small block will pull.

Thanks,
Joel
