Convoy to Cobra Bash @ Dan's

OK, here is the official thread for the North to South I-75 Cobra Bash convoy...

So far, here are the participants:
Ed Kamptner (Engineer Ed)
Jim Pomroy (Gator A/C)
Tom Jones (TampaTAJ)
Chester Littlefield (?)

Need to contact TampaRMC (Rich) Fredrick Turton, Jim McGovern.
Joe Pace contacted me and he will be coming later....

Who else?
Sign up and lets work out a time.

I am tentatively figuring on linking up with Tom Jones / Chester Littlefield and leaving the Tampa are @ 8:00 am.
This should put us in the Bradenton area at 9:00 to link up with Jim Pomroy.

Putting us in Cape Coral @ 10:30 or so....???

Mike Iodice will be coming from St. Augustine on Friday evening. Mike wants to show off his small block Chevy with his new Hilborns. Just make sure you get here before noon so I can get the lunch on from 12-1pm. If you need any info on attendees let me know I will send you any phone numbers you might need. I contacted everyone on the list by email this past Saturday and only had one cancellation and I removed his name from the posted list.

I've contacted my list of guys in the West Central Florida area via e-mail on Monday.
I'll be calling them this week to verify everything.

Ed... I'm awaiting further insturctions. Let me know what You want me to do or meet or what ever the time frame is no problem I cna be anywhere you need me to be at 8AM... call me 969-4445 or reply here...

OK,
Here are the plans as of last night (8/6/02).
The Tampa gang is heading out to I-75 roughly around 7:30 ~ 7:45.
We are going to try and link up via cell phones and determine eachothers positions.
We will be stopping at the rest area located just south of Riverview on I-75.
We will be getting our convoy together at the rest area.

Tom Jones and I are both pulling trailers. Chester is a 90% chance of also pulling his trailer.
Richard Clark is travelling down in his 2000 Toyota.

I'm still waiting to hear from Joe Smith.

I'm going to guess and say somewhere around 8:30.
I'll have a better idea of the time tomorrow morning once I get in touch with everyone via cell phones.

Ed, my car is so freakin' loud that I cruise the highway with ear plugs in!

8:30 should work, but no sweat it if we miss each other. I'll see you

tomorrow one way, or another.

Joe,
I've had the same problem.
What I found works is I place my cell phone on my shoulder harness near the top.
That way with my volume up really loud, I can hear my phone ringing. Even with ear plugs in !!

If we dont link up, oh well... we will see you at Dans.
A few of us are pulling trailers so you may catch up to us anyway.
