Geee! I am sooo jealous of "yall". I can't wait till I have a cobra. Somehow driving around in a Taurus just doesn't cut it.. Make sure someone takes LOTS of pictures! Wishing I was there...speed-freak

OK guys, count me in one last time. If I don't make it around the track this time...I'll buy both Jim Pomroy and Ed a case of beer....no tricks this time Ed...if I can't complete at least ONE timed lap around that damn track...the beers on me. Oh, and by the way...I don't have any water leaks...but then again I do have to change engines. dino

Dino,
An engine change???
What now?
This will be my last run on street tires.
The Sumitomos are about done.
Last chance for excuses!
Dino,
Not to worry, this time, I'll buy the beer.
Reguardless of the turn out.
You have paid your dues!
You just worry about getting her ready for the track!

The last race is when we needed the recount.
This time there will be no doubt. I'll beat you with 2 different cars on the same day.
You better go spend some money at Tirerack.com.
*****Disclaimer there is no racing in Gainesville! Only test & tune. All trash talk is for entertainment purposes only*****

Mailing address for checks stays the same....
The mailing address for Gainesville deposit checks stays the same.
(see the first post of this thread for details)
Ruble Moore / DSCC secretary, will be handling the deposits, as usual.

I'll be taking donations at the Reptile Roundup for new tires.....
It will be the "Humiliate the Gator" fund!
Tax deductable of course!!!
Renee made me buy a 65" widescreen tv so she could watch football. That ate up the tire fund savings.
I figured I didn't need "R"s yet since I can still kick your @$$ on street tires.
Listen Jim.. if I can beat you by at least 2 seconds with street tires, imagine how bad I'll beat you down on "R" compounds.
Now; you really dont want that kind of beating do you?
What will you tell your children??? What about their self esteem??
Listem buddy.....
Some of us feel that you need to consider moving down into the slow putt putt group.
You are holding the rest of us back!
Oh man, this is starting early this year!

Jim,
Don't worry about a thing, Ed will be home watching his new TV. Plus my buddie Jim will have his new twin turbo car putting out 700 RWHP for his newest car purchase by the time you meet. I wish I could come up to help out, I know Deane will need someone to follow his car around the track with a mop. As you can see I'm back from my vacation and ready to POST.

Welcome back Dan.
Hope everything went well.
I think I have found a venue for the Reptile Roundup auto-x.
I have been given a contact for a local airport that rents out an old landing strip (@ Hernando airport).
Cost is $500.00 per day.
I left a message and should get a call back on Monday.
Everything else is falling into place.
I've got a catering service to provide the deserts for the house warming party to be held at our new house after the poker run.
The last pitfall right now is lining up the drag strip for Friday night.
Bradenton speedway is conducting a 5 day event that week and I'm not sure if they will conduct "test and tune" friday evening.
Trying to speak with a rep from the track is like pulling teeth...
Anyway, glad to hear you are back.
Talk to you soon.
Ed

Wow, you seem to have a short memory. Let me refresh it.
June Gainesville Raceway Times
Seems you only had .5 seconds on me with a seriously inaccurate timing system.
Your not leaving at lunch time this time either. Of course the Blue Monster probably wouldn't have made it the rest of the day anyways.
I've got a back up car now.

hey guys,
I know none of you (at least for now). I just wanna say that I've been looking for an event to see Cobras, and today I learned that you are coming to my town. I feel real luck today.
I'll be watching you. (Is there a fee to to enter as a spectator?)
Ertu.
