Man, I have to run to GA this weekend. That means I lose a whole weekend of valuable wrench-turning time!
Mike - Are you gonna be around Saturday morning or perhaps noon-ish? I need to see the back side of your dash to see how the Smith's tachometer is wired. My wiring instructions are printed for Stewart-Warners, I believe, and the Smith's is a little different. All the other gauges were a cinch and took no time at all.
Things I've learned so far:
- The body of this car is heavier than it looks.
- You really can fit a 2" wiring harness through a 1-1/8" hole.
- AN fittings are way too expensive. I mean seriously... $18 for one damned fitting?
- I can't solder wires worth a damn.
- I really can fit both arms, elbows, and shoulders into the driver's footbox. Really.
- But once I'm in there, I can't get out.
