Oh yea... we need to exchange contact phone numbers this time. (That would have made last month's gathering a little easier.)
Cell: ...
If you don't wanna post it on the web, that's fine. Just call a few folks and give them your number.

TC,
How long does it take to get from Cumming to Canton on HW 20? I've heard it takes less than 30 minutes, but I have a hard time believing it, looking at a map.

Keith, where will you guys be eating lunch next week? I've got a subdivision in McDonough and could be in the area.
TC, I love the Highboy! The one in your pic just needs a seat and it's done. Are you building yours from scratch or buying a roller(assuming that the car in the pic isn't yours)? When I get around to it, I'd like to build one from the frame up.

TC;
Verrry nice HiBoy--always wanted one, or a 34 Ford Coupe---Hot-Rodded a steel bodied 33 Chevy way many years ago, but with all that's on the market today, one could really do a glass model very well.
Hopefully the weather for the 3rd Saturday in Oct will be sweet at RiverStone Plaza in Canton---that's the last one for the year.

That primer looks sharp. Some flat-black flames would really set it off!

southernfriedcj,
I'm not sure where we're eating lunch. Give me a call and leave me your cell or office number. We should all try to hook up at a nice central location. So far, the interested parties include chill, Speed Freak, Toy Collector, my sister, and yourself. My sister works in Marietta Square and her ride can wait for another day, if necessary.
I'm waiting to see if this high pressure front is gonna move through fast enough to keep me dry. I'm also having an issue with a bearing in the Jag rear that seems to be making a little too much noise for my comfort. My trip to GA might just become a stopover on my way to AL to have the Weavers or Butch Capps take a look (listen?) at it. I haven't completely decided yet. I'm also not sure if my butt-bone can tolerate the seat for that long.
Also, I most likely will not be able to make it to the Oct 19th gathering . My wife will be flying home from out of town on the 18th and won't get home until very late. Bummer. The Jag rear might be getting a rebuild at that time anyway, pending the diagnosis.
Keith

We are planning for the 3rd Saturday of the month which is the 19th. I will be at the Petite LeMans on Saturday as a volunteer worker--I'm too cheap to buy a ticket--plus this way I get a choice parking spot!!

Clyde,
I am working Infield parking Sat AM. With what little brainpower I have, I was figuring that's a position where it will fill up fast and then I am FREE to go. Of course I signed up for this thing as a way to get some freebies, I committed to it two days ago, and yesterday a car dealer offers me a 4 day Superpass. Jokes on me I guess

Would 1PM work for everyone or will you all be starving by then?
Chill, I called you at the track, but like everyone else there, you probably couldn't hear you cell phone ring, or carry on a conversation unless the yellow flag was out. Met JW and some of his pals and hung out for bit.

BTW, I got to see excelguru's Unique this week. VERY VERY nice, and VERY VERY red. Bring your shade's if you know you are gonna see it. A few observations:
I love the Jag rear on those I must say. A nice touch. His motor is about 10-20db louder than mine--and it's the best 10-20 dbs my ears have heard. The sound has a REAL presence, but not obnoxious--at least to a car guy/gal. Also, I am so happy to see Keith driving this thing through showers, rain, light mist, etc. Although I do lay out caution of how these are known to handle on non-dry surfaces. Our pal has had the car on the road for a few weeks and he does not hesitate to get it dirty. Good 'ol TC will show next time unless major TStorms or Tornados are predicted

TC,
Thanks for the kind words! Certainly nobody can accuse me of having a trailer queen since it already has 1050 miles on the odo and I've driven it through several rain showers.
I drove it down to Bill's on Friday and he knew something wasn't right from the moment I pulled up. The first words out of his mouth were, "What's wrong with that engine?" And he wasn't smiling.
After a quick check-up it was determined that one of the cam lobes had wiped itself out. This stuff happens. It's rare, but it happens. The car had only been hitting on 7 cylinders most of the week (which makes me feel really sorry for that guy in the red Toyota Supra).
Needless to say, Bill and Susan, being the fine individuals that they are, started taking care of the situation immediately (under warranty)! I'll be back out there tomorrow or Wednesday to pick it up and may (again) be in town for a few days. Unfortunately, I'll have to come back out to SC on Friday at the latest, so I'll miss the weekend gathering.
And yea, it is REALLY loud.
Keith

Tell him to mark your balancer for idle and advanced timing marks if you haven't already. Glad we didn't play with the timing. How did you get home? Are you in GA or SC?
