Default Its a 289FIA!!

I am happy to report that delivered today to proud father (and mother) a 2300 pound Unique 289FIA with beautiful black gelcoat and Southern 396 stroker. Thanks go out to the Weavers and the folks at Southern for delivering in just under the 14 week estimate...even when that included all the Holidays!!! Fantastic!!

Here are a few shots from the blessed event:
Unloading (The Weavers, Jason Patrick, and Randy assisting)...

Angling it into the garage:

and home at last!!!

Now what do I do???

(I think I'll sit in the garage and contemplate that a while. See ya'll next weekend.

Had TC over in the kitchen attempting to juggle homelife schedule to get over to your or GS for the unveailing. Mike made but sadly I was out of psync by about an hour!

Would have been fun to see and met the "Creators-Weavers"

Congratualtions! Now I will just have to wait until next week!

Congrats Randy and Chill,
Good to have some more FIA's in the bunch. Hope to see them next week. Chill what wheels did you end up with? Fine looking car, even without paint and stone chips

Chill,

Although you didn't actually see me yesterday, you may have heard me. I was turning onto Shiloh road when GeorgiaSnake and the Weavers were pulling onto McFarland, so I stopped and talked to Jason for a bit, and then headed to GS's to help him unload. Build quality of the frame and suspension is tops. Congrat's to both of you. Love those little motors too.

BTW, earmuffs were VERY desired yesterday, as Jason knows as well!!! If I bail out on an event this year due to rain, don't call me a wimp after having driven in 20-30 degree temps with the top down . (That was MECOOL literally ). Same for Comrade Jason who braved the elements.

By the way, when driving a Cobra, people usually smile and wave. Yesterday they were ear to ear grinning and pointing at me. What they were thinking is another matter, but I am happy to report I was not ordered into a straight jacket !!!!

Default 289 FIA

It looks really nice!

I always have thought that the FIA was a much better looking car than the S/C -
also with your Stroker that bad boy is going to BURN up the road!

Thumbs up Congrats Chill & Georgia Snake

Congratulations guys. I turned the key for the first time on my Unique - Southern Stroker a year ago today and it has been permanent grin since. Let me know if you need help with the build. I wrote down all my stupid mistakes.

Hey Chill,

for those of us living vicariously through you...make sure you keep us up to date with some build photos...perhaps your own web site?

SF

BTW:
My wife's comment RE your initial pictures, "How cute! Why don't you get one of those?"
