Default 4/19 Gainesville.... let the trash talking begin!

Jim,
You are going down hard.....!
I'm gonna kick your @$$ so bad you wont want to show your ugly face at another event.
This will be your final Gainesville embarassment!

The bi-annual Jim Pomroy vs Engineer Ed trash talk fued is worth the trip. Hey Jim are you going to bring your store bought race car or will you have your FFR finished?????

I hear we have to slow things down a bit due to the High speeds we were running at this small track. If so Bummer but still fun.

Where is ol' Jimmy???
He will more than likely have some excuse about his bad back....

He's being awfully quiet!
His Cobra is still being assembled so I dont expect to see it on the track till late this year.

All I know is that I will be bringing the Badest Bad Boy Cobra!

ONLY PROBLEM: Driver isn't a Bad Boy Driver. Just a rookie at 60. I'll try not to embarea$$ myself too bad. I certainly don't want to over do this old heart; it gets enough excitement just cranking this puppy up.
See you guys in less than 2 weeks now.

I think I will sneek into CobraDoc's warehouse and take out that load of anvils he carries in the trunk just so that he might be able to get out of first gear.

I can't wait to get out there again an tear around that track. Thanks everyone who puts this on and allowing me to be a kid again.

Forever Bitten
Frank H

P.S. CobraDoc remember the gas is one the right, AND the brake is on the left not the otherway around.

Hi Ruble and Ed

I had some family issues and could not work on the Classic for the last few weeks. I just got my body on Monday. However everytime I pick up a part to re-install there is another issue. I will not be able to have it ready for April 19.

While I can bring my Carrera 4S again, I know this is a Cobra outing and I am willing to give up my spot for a Cobra.

I leave it up to you two guys. While I would love to come, there is no issue for me to drop out in place of another Cobra.

Regards

Ed

Ed,
Bring your Carrera.
I know this is a Cobra only event, but we only have one alternate on the waiting list.
Call it a gut feeling, but I think we will have another "no-show" for this weekend.
This will allow all of us to have fun.

See you in < two weeks.

Ed,
Stop picking on my buddy Jim, he resently had back surgery and should not be racing around in his Mustang Cobra. He is thinking of sending up his lovely wife to show you guys how to race.
Keep things safe.

The big sissy....
I just hope the doctors released him for such activities.
It just wouldn't be the same without Jim though....

I'm going to not only humiliate him at Gainesville, but also at Sebring.
These may be the most memorable days of my life

Question TWO MAN CHALLENGE ?

GEEEEZE,
I HOPE THERE IS SOME ROOM ON THE TRACK FOR THE REST OF US NOVICES.
I ONLY WISH I KNEW HOW TO DRIVE WELL ENOUGH TO KICK BOTH OF YOUR BUTTS NOW, LORI IS ANOTHER STORY.

SIDE NOTE;
I WILL BE BRINGING MY PORTABLE GAS GRILL, SO IF ANYONE WANTS TO GRILL SOMETHING AT LUNCH TIME WE WILL HAVE THE EQUIP. I'M NOT FURNISHING FOOD FOR THE TROOPS, BUT YOU ARE WELCOME TO USE THE GRILL.

Terry,
Please check with the track authority to ensure we are permitted to have a grill at the track.
You can call them at: (352) 377-0046

Hi gang....it would be a bummer if Jim couldn't get behind the wheel of his Mustang as he really has a handle on his car and the times prove it. Lori does just fine in hers too. With the improvements you have made to your car Ed, you should feel a big difference. I'm looking forward to some competition, especially with the improved timing system. Don't think I will be making Sebring, as I'll probably need tires after Gainesville and the budget is tight since we had to pay Uncle Sam big this year.

Anyone got any magic pixie dust for my tires so I will be able to stick to the track like everyone wih race rubber?

I hope Jim can make it as it makes my day to see his times slower than Ed's even when he is actually faster. Jim does not trust the time keepers at all.

Is Jim going to buy another car for this event? It took him one vette and two stangs to beat Ed so I figure he will show up this time in a FI car.

Chuck,
Sorry to hear you cant make Sebring.
I am tapped out from all the new parts, but I dug deep enough to find a few more $$ to afford Sebring.
Hell, borrow John Phillips tires. Tell him you will "scuff" 'em for him at no charge.

Gainesville will be a good "proving" grounds and I'm really looking forward to the new suspension and see how it feels.
I think the difference will be night / day.
Jim's in for an @$$ kicking.
It's too bad he will default to the "my back is broke" excuse!
He is right on one point, Daddy is going to "Break his back"
this time!!

See you all next weekend!
