Default Anyone ever gone to Walter Mitty Challenge?

I was thinking about going up in a couple of weeks (if its still on). Anyone else been before? Is there a contention of Shelbies there? Or any other cool cars.

Not sure which car of three will be running. Also Shelby American Auto Club meet in Nashville mem Day weekend: Have reservs to be there too. chip

Thumbs up Yep

The Mitty is alot of fun. It's more laid back and you can get to the cars and drivers more easily. The racing is fun to watch and it is alot less crowded than Petit LeMans and less structured. The paddock is a great car show too!

I just got back from a race at Road Atlanta a few weeks ago. Unbelievable track. All I can say is going under the bridge blind and then dropping four stories into a banked front straight....HOLY ****!!!!!!! Wish I could go back for that race!

Have fun.

I'm hoping to run a gt350 in group 5(#65), and a 914-6 in Group 1 or 7(#00), and maybe a cup car in group 8 (#94)if I can get my HANS device helmet back from the shop. Weather will play a role this weekend with rain coming through Friday and Sat AM. I am only doing the Thursday Test day for sure , as the weather is going to be great and it is a great deal with 3 track sessions for $175.00

Will you be there as a spectator also John, if the HANS thing does not work out?

The HANS device is only for the Cup car, and I am borrowing Bill Elliot's until mine comes, but still have to have my helmet modified. have sent it off and it is not back. Want to run test day ?

This may be considered slightly off topic.

If you want to see some vintage cars (and some not) and racing. You might look into the Brian Redman International Challenge at Road America in July. Plenty of cool cars and the paddock is available for walking spectators.
