Hi, I've been busy building a garage. I'm making it out of steel and concrete, and I keep making mistakes that are now "written in stone" . One of the walls that we poured was a little weak and I told the concrete crew that they needed to be poured 1/3 at a time so that they would not blow out. I then went to Northside tool rental to get a big vibrator and when I got back, I was greeted at the street by the foreman:
"Senor, Senor, es un problemo con la wallo!!!"
Sure enough, they poured it one third by length, not by height, and it all billowed out. Communication breakdown. They did a nice job on the rest of it though, and when my Pop came over to look at it, instead of shaking his head and looking at me like I was an idiot, he said " Boy, that's one strong wall !" (it is 2 feet thick in the middle).
GeorgiaSnake, of course you can come.....
Chip, how about some pictures of the Coupe ! It will be neat at the track I'm sure.
Engineer Ed, perhaps you could get some of those "Pros" that came to Gainsville to come and give lessons at the Willis ?
We are almost to the midway point where it is closer to the Willis than from the Willis......

Johan-
Hope you can come to Roebling on Dec. 6-7 for a little pre-Willis track inspection. I promise to chant "don't lift, don't lift" if that will help get you there.

Rick, I can't make it. DC, TC, and I are going to a party Friday night (a charity thing) and we will be too hungover to get to the track on time...

I DON'T THINK I WILL BE TAKING THE COBRA THIS TIME, JUST WANT TO SEE WHAT YOU GUYS ARE UP TO.
DATES, TIMES, DIRECTIONS WOULD BE COOL.

TL--
There will be a Porsche Club Race this coming weekend. It is a closed event, but if you tell them that you are acting as pit crew for me (Rick Brownyard) they will issue you a wrist band for $5. I'd enjoy seeing you and your better half if you can make it. Saturday there will be qualifying and some practice starts/fun races, Sunday the races. Usually there are three separate race heats with the cars separated by class. There will be some very fast cars there, always fun to watch.

RICK,
Let's hope for good weather, might be alittle cold for this "Old Fla. Boy." But it should get us ready and primed for the mountains.
The game plan is to leave here early Sat. AM and drive up to see you guys having some fun - just for a couple of hours - then on to Columbia for the night. Then Sunday morning head on over to Cashiers and show Carol the property we have bought.
How will I know what to look for when we are Roebling Road, so as to find you? We should have the white Escalade "SLUT" back today and ready for the trip.

TL-
Hope you can make it. When you get to the track, let them know that you are "pit crew". They allow you to drive across the track between sessions. Look for a black trailex trailer with a silver mercedes ml-55 tow car. The trailer has yellow "cypress title" logos on the front corners. My car is a gold 944 with the number 86 on the side. There will be some fun races in the afternoon, and if my car is not next to the trailer, I'll be on the track.
Cheers, Rick

Rick,
We should be there about 2:00; my best guess. It all depends on how much coffee I drink that morning.
At least I won't have to stop for gas as often as past trips with my trailer (ATC).
See ya Sat.

Terry, Rick is the only black guy there with red hair and yellow eyes, not to be confused with Denis Rodman who has red eyes and yellow hair, but won't be there, so I guess not a problem.

I leave the site for a few days of racing and what do I get?? I never realized that you noticed my unique fashion sense--thanks!
Terry Lee- glad you and your better half were able to stop by. Great meeting you and giving you the "scent" of Roebling Road. The race sunday was a real hoot and I was able to pull a 5th place in my class of 22 cars; apersonal best lap time for me and a great weekend. I'm still grinning!
Can't wait to see you all at the WW

Rick,
I was going to make this race but Johan twisted my arm into partying Friday, plus Arthur Blank hosted my wife and I for a Falcons game Sunday. The tempation to pretend I actually had some money for a weekend pushed racing aside . I hear J. Grand won I class , with Kerry in 2nd and very similar lap times. Congrats on 5th, now I am really glad I didn't go .

Mike--
Missed both you and Johan. I hope you guys have time to do the Sebring race in February and Rennreunion in April.
As usual, Jon Dominated with Kery close behind. I pulled a 1:26 in qualifying, so I was happy.

I'm going to Roebling Friday to run with the VDCA (Vintage Drivers Club of America). They are sort of a "Tweed Cap" type of group with old Jags, Ferraris, Aston Martins,Allards, lots of Lotus's, etc.
Seem like real nice folks and I can't wait to see the neat old cars.
