Ruble,
You're not fooling anyone with that hokey line about just wanting to stay a step ahead of the chevy.....that's some serious rubber you're sporting.....my guess is that you want Ed's head mounted over your mantle!!! Dan, you may be right, last January at G'ville it was 22 degrees at the track as we were setting up.......brrrr, hope it's a bit warmer in Feb.....:3DSMILE: Mike :MECOOL: |
Quote:
DAN, If you come by, please bring your snow shovel - Hell you used to live in Ohio, you know about these things. Now let's see if the chains will fit over the slicks %/ :D %/ TL :MECOOL: |
I don't want his head on the mantle but I do want to see his lower lip poking out as he finds out he is not king of the mountain no more. He may be so devastated that Jim Pomroy may actually beat him this time.
Fireball Ruble. |
You left the "s" off at the end of Fireball.
     TL :MECOOL: |
Hello Ed you still there?? Are you ok? We are a little concerned that you have not responded to all this smak talk? Are you ok little buddy or are you chicken?
Fireballs Moore |
No,
I'm still here. I'm getting a good laugh at your simple minded replies. Look guys, time and time again I've been kicking your butts on the track. Why do you continue to torture yourselves? It's time Jim Pomroy give up the battle and let someone else challenge me for TOD. It's really obvious he can’t compete at this high a level. Ruble, I hate to do it, but I'll slap you down just as I have with Jim. My only "REAL" competition is myself. I've read thru Bob Bondurant’s book and noted all the things I've been doing wrong. Looks like I can make up 3 or 4 seconds with the new corrections in my driving habits. Knowing this, you all don’t stand a chance.... And as for Terry....., He can’t even bring a "working" car to the track. Every time he comes out to play and "try" to challenge me something breaks on his car... This sounds a bit suspicious to me. I think he is just scared and doesn't want to face reality. He knows I'll beat him down like a dog so he "fakes" engine problems..... Something about a "special" distributor last time. ""Nobody in town" carries his "special" distributor. See what I mean about suspicious. Lets see if we can guess what "mysterious problem" Terry is going to have in February.... Uh, his "special" alternator is not charging. Well, it’s off to Michigan today to visit my wife’s family for a few days. So if I don’t respond to your feeble comments, you will know why. Happy Holidays to all. You'd better enjoy them because you will be crying come February. Ed :D :D :D |
Michigan, Ed are you crazy?
You are the one who will need the snow shovel. The only time I go back to Ohio is in June for the Spring Flings. We had a huge cold front come in down here as of today and tomorrows high will only be 64. I might have to go out and buy some long pants to keep warm. There actually thinking of bringing in all the homeless to shelters to keep warm and I might have to turn the heat on in the furnace and turn off my air.
I want to wish everyone HAPPY HOLIDAYS Dan & Jean |
Ed,
I do have a "special alternator" to go with my special engine. Just remember, Dennis did the last "Fix" Screw the Elliots, they don't remember Fords anymore. TL:MECOOL: |
Terry,
How did you like that ribbing I gave you? Tell you what, I'm going to bring a spare BB engine with me in case you try and pull another fast one. I'll be more than happy to swap out your engine if you try another "mysterious engine problem" excuse. You will race this time..... got it! I'm looking forward to beating you down fair and square! Happy Holidays! Ed |
Ed
Bring it on smart boy. All that book learning ain't gona to help ya nune. I's gona opan up a big ol kan of whup A$$ on you boy. :) Fireballs |
Ruble,
I've seen you drive many times... Believe me when I say, no contest! :D Sheeesh, you guys keep throwing money in your cars, changing cars (ala Jim Pomroy), making excuses, etc.... And you still can't beat me. It's not the cars, the engines, the tires, the weather, the alternators, the track conditions, tire pressure....etc, etc, etc It's the whimpy driver behind the steering wheel that can't beat me. If I were you, I'd fake an injury so you dont have to show up for the February @$$ Whoopin. Make sure you have a Happy Holidays. '04 Aint going to be a good year for you on the track! Ed |
Ed
All you have seen me do up to now is try to wear out a set of Kumho ECSTA 712's and sadly I report that you cannot wear these things out. I am starting to think BFG radial T/A's have a softer compound. Well anyway I should have enouh practice on slippery tires to smoke you on real tires. :D |
It's getting close
Ok guys, it's time for a little "trash talk" to get ready for the next event. We aren't going to let ED off that easy are we?
Who's got the special secret for running in the cold? TL:MECOOL: |
Hotel Info.
This is not "Trash Talk" just some useful info I hope.
I just signed up (at no cost) for the Hilton Honors Rewards Program, which includes Hampton Inns. I believe that we can double dip by using the rewards program and Ed's super discounted  rate, but suggest that you reserve direct with the Inn as we have done in the past to get the DSCC rate. Apply at: www.hiltonhonors.com to get a member # and use when you check in. You can also use with certain airlines. They award points at 10 per every dollar spent, and can be redeemed for free stays. I think this is a good deal, and if we are staying there most of the time, why not take advantage? :p  TL :MECOOL: |
Hi All! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Just got home from a stay in the hospital for surgery. Just wondering if there is still room for 1 more in Feb? Also need the address where to send the $$, so i can send it out tomorrow.
Thanks & look forward to getting out there and doing it again. Forever Bitten Frank H |
Frank,
We are sold out for both events. Sorry to give you the bad news. Hope everything went well with the surgery. Ed |

Hey I see Reg is going to be there both times.
I assume he will be bringing the "Run & Gun" car that Ed loves sooooooo much. Hey ED - BRING YOUR CHECKBOOK :D :D :D You buy that car and you can put all the "Trash Talk" behind you. Now that's a challange! %/ TL:MECOOL: PS. Lap times with you in that car should Reg let you drive it again, don't count. This is Run what YOU Brung - Right guys? |
3&1/2 weeks to go till the Feb. event and "NO TRASH TALK!"
COME ON GUYS - BRIGHTEN UP MY DAY - I miss all the good humor. Ruble, you got those slicks figured out yet? You know they work best when mounted on the rims, and rims mounted on vehicle.:D Ed, make sure you got funds in the check book for that Backdraft racer.:D Jim, are you going to bring out the red '66 Mustang? Also, I'll have my air compressor with me so you can put some air in the Blue Monster's tires. Other news: I got word that SVTOA / Steeda Sebring event is scheduled for May 1, and 2nd. - may want to put on your calender. The offical flier is not out yet. But, you can make your reservations at the Chateau Elan Hotel and Spa (863)655-6252. There is a block of rooms under SVTOA / Steeda for the weekend. Arrival date, if like last year, will be Friday evening with a driver's meeting, more real trash talking, beer drinking, etc. Book early, they have a 48 hour cancelation policy if you need to back out. THIS EVENT IS THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK IN MY BOOK! :) :) Flanker, any word on Homestead? Please give us some heads-up notice this year if possible. Will they let us run slicks, and how about some courtesy passing on the front straight if we can work it out with the "power to be." That would make for a "good show" for the spectators. I'm sure we can work out the details between all the drivers, if they let us do it with a wave-by. Keep Warm :D TL:MECOOL: |
