So you want some more do ya?

I thought the reason there was no more trash talking was due to you all coming to your senses.
Haven't you learned yet that you cant beat me?
Man, you are gluttons for punishment.

At least I got Ruble to spend the big $$ on a set of tires. Hee Hee Hee :D
I hope he didnt spend his whole wad on them...
His wife was looking forward to a nice Christmas gift, and all he could afford was a CZ ring after buying those tires.
Too bad they wont help. It's the driver boys, Jim has proven that for years now!

And to make matters worse;
I just found an injector wire that had fallen off months ago...
That means I've been beating you all down with only 7 cylinders.
Wow, you guys ARE pathetic!
Now that I'm actually using all 8 cylinders, you boys will really be crying!
Too bad it will be so cold your tears will freeze to your face!

Terry, youv'e got 4 more weeks to feel good about yourself.
I'm still wondering what excuse you will use to bail out?

Well, lets see if that gets the trash talking started again.

Ed
Gainesville Champion.

Does this look like a CZ?

Maybe if you bought Rene a cool ride she would let you buy some real man's tires.

Engineer Ed 01-29-2004 04:13 AM

Man, I heard you were whipped...
I just never knew you were whipped that bad. :D

A Z3 for a set of tires?
Whew,
All I had to do was spend about 20 minutes "Divin down town" (if you know what I mean) for my tires :D :D :D

See you girls at the track!

Ed

Ruble's words of wisdom "Don't marry the woman who works at your bank". You can't hide anything from them.

A Serious Subject

Ed, Ruble, and the Powers to be,

Can we preset the heats using the times from the last Gainesville (Oct.) track event (with the hairpin incl.) to match up drivers so that each will run about the same lap times, and not have one running faster than his / her counterpart.

I believe this to be a better way for us all to have more fun and be able to keep up speed thru out our runs, and not having to slow down because we were running faster than the other car on the track. I suggest you use the 3 fastest laps thru out the day to determine the heats to start with for the 1st session, and we can adjust pairings in the afternoon. I even trust Ed's judgement on this one. Just a suggestion, but a good one in my humble opinion.

On another note, I may have to give up my spot for the March track event - don't know for sure yet. Some travel plans have come up that may make it impossible for me to attend. I will know for sure by the end of the month. Those on the waitng list - stay tuned!

Ed,
Concerning the March event Mioke and I were talking about it today. Niether of us are registered. I see that you are sold out, booked up and ready. Are you keeping a list in case someone drops out. If so we would like to be on it.
John

Hisssss 02-04-2004 06:09 PM

OOPs, Mike not Mioke. Fat fingered that one. Its been a long day.

Gatorac 02-04-2004 06:27 PM

The Monster's got some bigger shoes up front. New tow vehicle too.

aumoore 02-04-2004 07:55 PM

Jim is gearing up so watch out ED you may wind up mid-pack.

cobramandave 02-06-2004 11:14 AM

Jim,

I hope you have more than one set of shoes you know how rough you are on them.

New tow vehicle. Is it big enough to haul a two car trailer?

Yall have fun

David

terry lee 02-06-2004 04:18 PM

Jim's only problem is he forgets to air in them!
Don't worry Jim, I'll have my compressor and tire guage ;)
Ed's being awful quite these days - I think he a little worried about getting bumped from the top spot.:D
Nothing like standing in front of 19 other Cobra drivers saying "I'm the best "- hell, he might as well go stand in the middle of the track so we can all take shots at him.:D :D :D
ED NEEDS TO BE PUT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!%/ %/ %/

Ok dumb question time. Can anyone show up if they are not racing? Will there be any infield action? Would like to drag a car down to the track but do not want to run it. No rollbar, My father did not want one on the car, and no tags yet.
Anybody?

Hey guys, now that I have a way to transport my car, your Gainesville event sounds promising (not necessarily for track time, but more for the Florida sunshine). Do ya'll do any local cruising that weekend? Atlanta is really chilly and ofter very gray. I could use some warmth+speed.

Engineer Ed 02-12-2004 10:39 AM

Hey guys
Sorry I’ve been out for a while.
And no, it’s not because I’m scared. Just busy getting my car ready.
New coolant system, no more over-heating (I hope)!

Terry. To answer your questions, yes I will bring in the previous time sheets and pair up guys accordingly. I still have October’s time sheet.
Those of us who are vying for king of the track can pair up with someone you think runs similar times….
I’m sure the new Palm Beach guys will run against each other.

But in my case, there is no one who can keep up with me, so I’ll wind up slowing down eventually :D

AS for the guys who want to come watch:
Please keep in mind that due to insurance reasons we are not permitted to have spectators.
If you want to come watch, please pair up with a driver and be known as their “pit crew” member.

Bruce,
You may bring your car, but please keep it away from pit road.
The Raceway charges us “per car” and I don’t want to confuse them with more Cobra’s than we are paying for.

OK guys, just over one week away.
Who’s meeting me at the hotel early on Friday to set up the track?

Ed

I'm Ready

I washed the Cobra this morning, had to take a nap this afternoon, but ready non the less. :o
Now the big question, should I change out the entire intake system, or wait for Sebring when it will really show.

Lets hope and pray for good (not TOO cool) weather.**) **) **)

ED,

I will be there early to help set up.

Terry,

We will have to find someone who has a Cobra that won't start to pair you with!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Jerry Miller

terry lee 02-12-2004 04:15 PM

Jerry,
Watch yourself boy!!!!!!!!!!!:p
I didn't pick on you, and now you want to start with me? %/
Eng. Ed is another story.
Just think NC - Pam in a nice warm dry bed, and you sleeping out IN THE COLD with the wild dogs and the cock fighting roosters that live next door, (in the rain no less - you remember NC rains don't you) when you come to visit. That's assuming YOU get an invite - Pam, Carol says you are welcome anytime.

SO THERE :p

DaveH 02-13-2004 06:23 AM
