Count me in. By that time I'll be less afraid of taking the car home on a trailer.

Kim and I would like to invite everyone coming for this track
event to our house for dinner on Friday the 26th. Nothing big
planned, just going to grill up some burgers and dogs, plus
sides. We will have soda and such, but request that you
BYOB. Since we don't drink, do you really want non-drinkers
buying your libations?
Ed, if you want you are welcome to have the drivers meeting
there if everyone comes, but that's up to you.
Directions from the Hampton Hotel are pretty easy.
http://www.niblett.org/DSCC-3-26-party.pdf
Address is 1320 SW 104th Street.
If possible could folks that plan on coming email me (cobra@niblett.org)
Just so I can get a rough head count.
Hope to see you all there.

OK maybe more like 10, but that's if you drive like you
know Gainesville. I went for easiest route.

Lee
Total cost of track time usually runs around $100 per driver depending on how many drivers show up. If you want to reserve a spot send a $50 deposit to yours truely

I pormise you it is much better than Autocross and the most fun you can have in your car with your clothes on.

Lee,
The Gainesville track is a 1.6 mile road course located behind the gator nationals track.
Like Ruble mentioned, it's about $100.00 per driver.
Hotel cost has been $69.00 per night at the Hampton Inn Gainesville.
The Ramada located next door is $59.00 per night.
Super 8 across the street is $38.00 per night.
Drivers meeting is held Friday night at the Hotel and we rent the track all day on Saturday.
Only 20 cars so we get lots of track time.
Much more fun than an Auto-X but not as fast as a big road course.
It's an excellent venue for driver training.
Here is a photo of the track from Gainesvilles site:
Hope to have you as a new driver.
Looks like we finally have some of the pbffrog guys joining us this time.

I need to give up my spot.
Ruble and Ed,
Please give the place I have reserved for the March 27th event to anyone on the waiting list.
Please use my deposit from this event as a deposit for the next event after March when it is scheduled.
I will be traveling to Chicago and Milwaukee that weekend and feel it best to give up the spot now so someone can make plans.
See you all in Gainesville in a week.
Thanks,
Terry Lee

Terry,
I've given your slot to another DSCC member.
Looks like you found an excuse for missing the next track event.
What's the matter... you can only take one BEATING in a two months span?
Chicken!!

I don't think Terry's chicken. He can only get his car started at every other event anyway so he's just saving himself the trouble of dragging it around for nothing - go easy on him Ed!

That's what I figured.
I've got a suprise for him this weekend.
I just hope he decides to run against me.
Oh, how beautiful that would be!
Getting a yellow flag on my 3rd or 4th lap

Ed,
I haven't been referring to just me giving you an a$$ whipping; anyone is welcome to join in. The more the merrier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This "old man" will be another year older and wiser I might add come this weekend, so watch out.
You can say what you want about my car not starting at the Reptile Roundup - Damn distributer - but at least I paid all the money for my track time. You cheap sum b!tches would be asking for a refund!
Dennis O. has told me not to worry this time out.
March event:
Carol and I are heading up to Chicago to take in a couple of timber frame home shows up there on the 26th and 27th, and also to pick up some of her furniture to use in the new house. As long as I'm taking the trailer I thought i might as well pick up another new 4 wheel toy, while I'm there. Then on the way back we need to stop in NC to work out moving the power lines on the property -
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
At least I was nice enough to give you guys some notice, once our plans were finalized.
As as far as me running with Ed - You better stay on the track buddy - at least I don't have any Gainesville grass stains on my car! I don't want to have to slow down cause you can't stay on the asphalt.
SO THERE!
