I think Jim Pomroy uses 09 on his blue mustang beast so I think I will just like to use #34(Bo Jackson's old #). Please put me down as #34

Johan,
Here is the “un-official” DSCC list of drivers who will be attending the Willis 04 Races:
Ed and Renee Kamptner / FFR Cobra / #97
Jim and Lori Pomroy / 92 FORD Mustang / #9
Paul and Darlene Liparoto / FFR Cobra / # 52
Tom and Daisy Jones / FFR Cobra / #48
Chester and Debbie Littlefield / Backdraft Cobra / #?
Robert and Larae Donehoo / FFR Cobra / #?
Terry and Carol Lee / Superformance / #7
Jerry and Pam Miller / Superformance / #?
Ruble Moore / Hunter Cobra / #34
Reg Dodd / “Owner” Backdraft Cobra / #?
David Eastman / FFR Cobra / #99
Bryan Brunner / Shell Valley / #?
Bob Gassie / FFR Cobra / #?
We are due to arrive on Sunday afternoon and then attend a party at the Marina?
Is this party still on?
Now, tell me.. “What can we do for you?”
I’m prepared to play bartender and Daisy is gearing up to tend the grill.
No problem about Hooters, just let me know how to handle it.
I'm all for the party at the beach house on Monday if we are not running.

Johan & Ed
I will run the grill as I did last year and we will let Daisy show off her talent preparing the non grilled food.
Maybe we should all BYOB and bring something to eat to help offset the cost of the party.
Just got my Kirkey race seat installed and ordered my #34 meetballs from the lovely Paula at Finishline.
Here is all the upgrades to my cobra since last year's event
1. New Canton Road Race Pan with windage tray.
2. Swapped my Home Depot plumbing department sourced oil pressure sending unit mount for a Ford OEM part so I can avoid living up to my new FIREBALL MOORE nickname.
3. Big fat GOODYEAR stock car special tires and NASCAR spec AERO race wheels.
4. Kirkey circle track seat for driver.
5. New and improved and lighter RacingShields windscreen.
6. new #34 Meatballs(that should add at least 50hp if a Nuspeed sticker can make a Honda Civic gain 25HP
Ed
I hope you have your overheating worked out as I don't want any excuses about you car when I pass you

PS
I need the help of all the girls attending this event. Please post something about what you girls will be doing while us sweaty mens are playing Mario Andretti. If there are enough events that my wife will enjoy(sunning on the beach, shopping and hitting a few bars or parties at night) and I might be able to prove I am really married(so I will not have to fight off Spydee's advances).

Ruble,
Pam is planning sight seeing and shopping in historic Savanah. Bring your better half along. She will have a good time.

Ed says : "I'm all for the party at the beach house on Monday if we are not running."
Ruble says :"My wife wants to hit some bars"
Spydee says : "All the wives in a tidal pool on the beach would be like girly soup" and we can pull Rick's boat up on the sand like Gilligan's Island"
Therefore I say:
Running Monday might be too much of a good thing, especially when there are other activities that would suffer or be too rushed, such as boating, beaching, cooking out, etc.
Nobody needs to feel obligated to come out to a dinner or cookout, I just don't want to buy the wrong amount of food. It will probably be Ruble, Daisy and I heating a can of SPAM over a newsprint fire in the rain, and we'll just have to make the best of it.
I do not mind canceling Monday then if it makes things easier. I have to check with the track about storing all our crap there for a day or two prior to our event, but it may not be a problem, except for those that are possibly camping ? Oh whatever, the show will go on !

ED-
I really haven't given up my membership in DSCC just because I'm temporarily cobra-less. So Adam and I will be attending with Porsche turbo s # 86 and Porsche #861.
As always, we'll try to stay out of everyone's way!

Might I suggest, since Rick's boat will be on Hilton Head and the cookout Monday night as well, that Hilton Head would be a good place to stay Sunday and Monday nights ? There is the Holiday Inn Oceanfront (really close and cheaper than a DUI at $169.00 a night) and the Red Roof Inn ( also close, just not oceanfront, and cheap.)

OK,
Here is what I have gathered from the above info...
The Willis birthday bash is being held Monday night at Hilton Head.
We will BYOB and a few of us will be tending bar, cooking and preparing food for the masses.
Johan, no track activities other than camping on Monday?
The boat party is Sunday night?
Please clarify for us.
For Ruble....
Didn't Bob Gassie and Terry Lee teach you that all those shiny new parts are useless.
You still have to know how to use them!
#97 had a blown head gasket so hopefully the overheating issue has been solved.
I also have invested in a new Kirkey seat so if you need instruction on its use, just try and keep up with me.
Ed

When you say "bare", does that mean you are racing in the buff?
Cause I want no part of that!
OK OK, you win.... I give up.
Please just keep your clothes on for #$@$# sake!

Ed, the party is Monday night at Hilton Head, the boat is on Hilton Head also, but the boat schedule is at Rick's discretion. The track will be available Sunday after 4:00 pm for unloading etc. and all day Monday. A few of us may run a few laps Monday, but there are no corner workers Monday and the field is limited to 10 cars total, with only a couple running at a time. I am playing that one by ear, but personally plan to spend the afternoon going to the beach. I hope to see some Cobras in my yard at the beach on Monday afternoon sort of early, have some beers, have a cookout sort of earlyish, and be done with it all sort of early so we can get going early on Tuesday .

Sounds good to me.
The Florida group is heading your way on Sunday and will drop trailers off after 4:00.
From there we will relax at the pool and plan to see you "early" on Monday.
Early meaning afternoon right?
Hey man, I'll be on vacation!
Lets say 2:00-ish.
I'd like to head to the track on Monday and watch some of the pre-race action.
From there we can unload some Cobra's for the trip to Hilton Head.
Let me know if that sounds good to you.
Ed

I actually would like to try it if (when) it rains. We could gather at the carousel and go one at a time, with scoring commensurate with body damage.
