I am looking for any and all members in Kiwanis located in the southeast USA.
If you are a member please contact me thru CC or email me your contact info.
The reason for this request has to do with the Reptile Roundup this fall.
It is my plan to network the DSCC and Kiwanis together for a bigger and better Roundup. We will focus on the "Children of the World" Kiwanis International theme. This theme will benefit all children, and especially those in our own areas. By using the Kiwanis network of clubs located thruout the SE, we can get the word out fairly easy for a bigger attendance. As the attendance grows we can raise more money for a worthwhile cause while also benefiting our own. My guess is if we can work together, we will have to locate to a larger facility for next year, as this event will probably turn out to be as successful as DV has in the past. We all know about "Team Jenny."
The Reptile Roundup last Nov. was a hugh success due to all the efforts of Eng. Ed.
NOW, WE need to pitch in and make it bigger and better. This has become a project bigger than one person can manage on their own, and still keep a paying job.
I have a call into Fla. Kiwanis district HQ to work on some of the details with George; but I need contact info from each of you, so we can get a package ready to present at the upcoming conventions. I would like to get all the clubs, their members ,and their friends involved. We have a totally unique venue for people to come and see if they don't already own one of our type cars. There were many prospective buyers at last years event, and several cars were sold.
I ESPECICALLY NEED MEMBERS FROM THE MIAMI AREA AND ALL OF SOUTH FLA. RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ed, I have taken the ball and started running, hope this all meets with your approval. We will discuss and fine tune all the details next month (May 22nd) in Gainesville.
Kiwanians, don't let me down. I would hate to give this to Rotary!
