Thanks for the update....
I've been keeping my eye on the projected paths and it's not looking good at all.

Where's Terry?

My advice it to spend a few days boarding up windows and put Renee, Shelby and the Cobra in thevan and trailer and head to the hills. You are welcome at my house my friend.

That yellow line runs right over my house, southwest of Gainesville. I would just like to get some power to so I can run my pump and refill the bathtubs with water before Ivan gets here. What we've got has been sitting there for almost a week - we are well set with bottled water for drinking though. Oh yeah - need to restock my rum and corona supply before Tuesday too!

Dave,
I've been meaning to contact you reguarding the Poker Run.
You are in charge of the route again this year.
Lots more cars (I'm hoping).
Make sure we get stops with bathrooms again.
The same route with minor changes will be great if possible.
We need to start at Garlits and end at the CFCC Campus (Klein Center).

Please e-mail me after you read this post to confirm.
edward.kamptner@ge.com

Thanks,
Ed

For all those in the Florida Peninsula you can breath easy. Just say a prayer for me in Pace(suburb of Pensacola about 8 miles north east)

Since IVAN is projected to come your way I think I will not come up and stay in your spare room after all. I think Panama City is going to be in the EYE of this Hurricane. I will say a little prayer for all that live in Florida at this time.

Thumbs up

It looks like Reptile Roundup is headed for a record attendance as we are running out of rooms. Go to this web site for other Motels near Microtel:

What's new (news) on the Roundup? Is the raffle still a 50/50 (last post) or is it going to be for the BDR?

Any news about exhibitors?

People are still sending in money for the raffle and we hoped to sell additional tickets at the event so at this time we don't really know as we have to cover the cost of the BDR roller before we can actually raffle off the Cobra. 50% will actually be a nice part of the raffle if we can't sell enough tickets. We are down to only 2 rooms and one is a suite left at Microtel.

Guys we need to sell about 2000 tickets to make this work where we can actually have money left over to give to the charity. WE might get by with as little as 1500 tickets but that will not leave much to give to Boggy Creek.

I think we will sell at least 500 tickets at the event (I plan on buying at least 5 or 10) and we have sold 205 tickets. I keep getting checks and paypal payments(just got a check from a guy in Pasadena, CA for $100 today).

If you know anybody who would like to win a Cobra please direct them to our site. I want to give away the Cobra and give a big check to Boggy Creek.

The Club is making nothing on this and we will probably lose some but that is ok.

What is a little disturbing is most of the buyers are not in the South East. Come on you fellow rednecks gather up your beer cans and cash them in and buy a ticket or five.

Red face SOUTH FLA UPDATE

Guys,
Carol and I have sold about $400 worth of tickets so far.
One person in Chicago bought $100 worth.

I'm thinking about getting a sign made up and just stick it on my car and drive around with it to advertise this raffle to all those people that don't have access to this forum. If I do I will need more tickets. Ed, I will let you know If I need some more. How the Hell do you make a magnetic sign stick to fiberglass?

For those that already own a Cobra, don't be afraid to win another. Just think how you would be the ENVY of the neighborhood.

SOME ADVANTAGES:
For only a $25.00 donation per chance -
only 4000 tickets will be sold!

3. SELL IT AND TAKE THE CASH, AND BUY ???????
4. DONATE IT TO CHARITY FOR A TAX DEDUCTION

Just sold another one to a guy in Meza, AZ. Actually I think it was his wife who bought one for him...oops hope I did not say something I should not have.

I want the DSCC to participate in this event. If every member of the club bought 5 tickets we would sell out. If you cannot afford 5 them buy at least one. Remember you have the chance to win a great car or a bundle of cash.

Here is a link to the page on the tickets so get your paypal out or your checkbook.

I forgot about the ones that Terry Lee and others have sold. We probably have about 240 sold so far and I expect to sell many more at the event. Lets get going.

The JBL will be here in a few weeks but I can always use another cobra I guess.

A little support from the TCC.

Hope you all have a fun event. Hope to see some of you at our event in Austin
