Well, first I want to thank Reg Dodd of BackDraft Racing, THANKS REG
http://www.backdraftracing.com/home.htm
Make sure you buy a raffle ticket to help support this charity.
Camp Boggy Creek is a permanent, year-round facility where young people between the ages of 7-16 with chronic and life-threatening illnesses can come at no charge to them or their families. The majority of the cost of staffing and operating the camp is covered by contributions from individuals, healthcare partnerships, foundations and corporations.
Transportation to and from the camp is usually the family's responsibility, however, many local health organizations will help with the cost and coordination of travel plans, and other special arrangements can be made.
Camp Boggy Creek provides a safe and exciting camp experience for children with:
Asthma
Cancer
Craniofacial disorders
Diabetes
Epilepsy
Heart disease
Hemophilia
Immunology
Kidney disease
Rheumatic disease
Sickle cell anemia
Spina Bifida
Disorders requiring ventilator assistance
Everyone should know that this is also our fourth annual meeting for the Deep South Cobra Club. There will be an election of officers for our club, so if you would like to become an officer please send us an email or post your name and position you will be running for.
Keith McFarland our Vice President for the past 2 years, will not be running for office this year. We are looking for someone to fill the post of Vice President in our club for a one year term.
Dan

I owe Reg a huge thank you for his tremendous support of our club.
He has really stepped up and made the roundup an event I am proud to host.
Another huge thanks to Terry Lee for his didication and the countless hours he has put in to assist me in making this event possible.
Guys, I'm doing this so you have a reason to fuel up your snake and enjoy it with friends.
Lets all get together and have a blast.
I look forward to seeing many of you in November.
Cheers,
Ed

What no tickets ordered yet? For all of you ordering tickets don't forget to include your info so we can contact the lucky winner.

$25 or even $100 is not much for the chance to win a Backdraft Cobra or even other prizes we may have. $25 will not even buy tickets, popcorn and cokes for two at the movies today. This charity is for the kids guys so please remember it is not really for the prizes. It is to help needy kids.

Sorry Dan,
I'll be going with the classic Guardsman blue & white! I just missed the $25 mil jackpot a couple of week ago by three digits (last number was 32 & we had 29), so I'm a shoe in to win the roadster, right? But hey, the 4,700.00 we did get will go nicely towards a stroked 351W! Now to convince the Mrs....

Good choice QZ,
My favorite color combination.
Last word from Reg at Backdraft was the color combination for the car we are raffling will be Guardsman Blue with white stripes. Should the winner desire a different color, Backdraft Racing will provide a different car with a standard color combination of your choice.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUY PLENTY OF RAFFLE TICKETS,
AND BUY THEM EARLY BEFORE WE RUN OUT!
ONLY 4000 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want anyone telling me they don't need a ticket because they already have a Cobra, this is a brand new roller.

If you already have a Cobra, you can always sell one of them and put the money towards a Coupe! Who wouldnt want a kick @$$ car they could drive during the HOT, RAINY Florida summers?
All proceeds from this raffle are going to Camp Boggy Creek.
C'mon folks, this charity needs our support.
Only 4000 tickets being sold.
Those are pretty good odds.
Get your tickets NOW!!

As they say, location, location???
I'll be a first time visitor and am a little confused by the info. Understand that the race track is in Gainesville (not Ocala which is some distance from there). The museum is also near Ocala as is the hotel, so it would appear that the "car show" etc. is ?? (Ocala or Gainesville??). I'm sure those who've been before know, but I was thinking about going Sat. only since my car (ERA 289FIA) likely won't be finished yet. (sent check in for the raffle also)

Race events are being held in Gainesville at the 1.6 mile road course located behind the drag strip.
We are having a Cobra Convoy from the track to Ocala on Friday night. It's approx 45 min - 1 hour drive.
The car show is being held at Garlits Museum of Drag Racing followed by the poker run around Ocala.
The hotel of choice for Friday and Saturday night is the Microtel Inn Ocala (located across the street from Garlits).

The hotel of choice for Friday and Saturday nights is the Microtel Inn located in Ocala (across the street from Garlits).
If you are planning on attending the track events Thursday and Friday, you will want to book a room for Wednesday and Thursday nights at the Hampton Inn in Gainesville.
You can get the hotel phone numbers, address and maps at our web site: www.deepsouthcobraclub.com
Be sure to ask for our DSCC discounted rate!
See you all there,
Ed

Just a heads-up that November 12-14 is Homecoming at UF in Gainesville. We should be cleared out of town by the time most of the fans come in, but there will be undoubtedly be some coming in Thursday night, so you might want to make Thursday hotel reservations soon!
Friday and Saturday nights in Ocala should be better but it's not uncommon for Gators to put a dent in the number of rooms available in Ocala - depending on how the season is going of course!
