Ed, my car is # 6, not #97.
Ed, if you insult me one more time we are racing for money.

Damn....
That was BRUTAL!

Johan; I'm sorry I left you out...
Make sure # 6 knows how to give the "WAVE-BY" to #97.

Ruble,
"Self Love", is that what they are calling it these days?
I didn't know you guys gave it a new code word....
Did you come up with that one or was it Terry?

Ed

Guys, I know I'm kind of an outsider as I have no Cobra (one of these days), but I live not to far from Roebling Roads. Any way I can get an invite as a crew member or something? You know, since us spectators are not allowed.

Steve

Johan,
Your the host, I'll let you answer the above question posted by lovehamr.
Personally, I think Steve is just trying to weasle in on some free Hooters girl action

Steve, it you are granted permission from the Grand Pubah to come watch the DSCC stooges chase eachother around a track, keep your distance from "Self Love" Ruble and Spider Man.
Those two are a pair and dont like to share.... if you know what I mean.
Ruble has the nick-name "fireball".... some think it's because his Cobra caught fire two years ago at Roebling.
I think it's for some other reason. You see, Spidey always smiles and winks at Ruble when he calls him that....
It's just sick man..... sick!

And dont take any driving lessons from "Flipper" aka Terry Lee. He doesnt know how to keep his car "on" the track. He prefers hugging the pine trees these days rather than racing.

As for Johan, I really can't say anything bad about him... he's the host. To tell you the truth, he's just looking for a reason to revoke my invitation so he doesnt have to suffer the humiliation of getting passed by the #97 Cobra wearing DOT approved street tires.

Here is a tip that may get you in:
Bring a change of clothes (preferable something tie-dyed) and some Right Guard deodorant. I heard the host may need them.

Good luck,
Ed

I had to do so much work last year that I had a hard time having fun. Rob Ginn of Mcmichael Motorsports is organizing things this year from the Cobra contingent, and we will have a chief instructor and a competition director.
Steve, we'll see how things go . you have to be a part of a group with a car to be covered by insurance. Spydee is usually "short handed"

Johan
I almost forgot to ask if you wanted those flame retardant underwear back you lent me last year? I don't think they were clean when you lent them to me and now that I have let Ed use them I doubt they are much use as a flame retardant. They did not keep Ed from "FLAMING". If you notice how he holds his pinkey out while waving(and winking at all the drivers) you will see what I mean.

Careful Johan....
Before you go giving Ruble's "job" to Steve, you might want to ask Ruble if that is OK with her or not.
Ruble usually helps Spider man with the "hand" jobs.... if you know what I mean. (can I say that here?)
That's a true friend.... lending a hand when you really need it

Man, have you seen that guys calluses?
It's like shaking hands with a caveman's club.....
Lots of practice I suppose.

Sorry about the fire suit.
I had to hire a seamstress to sew up the "flap" in the rear Ruble cut out earlier. Appears he was trying to make a crotchless version of a fire suit.....

LOL,

Ed

Smile Johan - Road Atlanta May 1

A litlle highjack here!
I'm leaving from down here next Sat. AM. I'll make my plans to stay in Atlanta or out by the track Sat. nite.
Are you guys coming out in the morning? I'll be pulling my trailer - all furniture and NC stuff - no room for the car.
Any secret to getting into the track? Tell me where to look for you.
Party Sat. night??????

Question

Lets pull a few chains and see if we can liven this thread up a bit....

OK, I'm confused....
Why isn't Jim P racing his Cobra at the Williswood Festival of Speed?

Since Jimbo was invited on behalf of the Deep South COBRA Club, you would think he should be racing his COBRA !!!
Why does the sissy want to bring that stinkin Vette?

Could it be he is too scared to race in a open car...
Or perhaps he needs a vette's computer controlled chassis to correct all his mistakes?

C'mon sissy, leave the yellow fat @$$ at home and lets go race some Cobras!

Oh I know what it is.....
You are giving me an early Christmas present aren't you?
You know I would enjoy passing you in a Cobra....., but not as much as I would enjoy passing you in that Chevrolet
Wow, Thanks Jimmy

I go away fr just a few weeks and what happens?? Huge gobs of smack talk. I love it.
My sons and I can't wait to get the opportunity to learn new ways to flambe' fiberglass, blaze new and exciting trails through the woods and explore nifty ways of performing inversion exercises without the boots. We'll be back with a couple of P cars and will be happy to engage in a friendly wager with anyone having a power to weight ratio within 20% of our little 4 banger.
Sorry, couldn't resist engaging in a bit of testosterone driven drivell. This is always a great opportunity to reunite with good friends and to compare just how much money can be flushed into a hobby--based upon past expeience, Johan always seems to lead inthis class.

Johan- we are really lookingforward to this event-- it has become the father-son(s) highlight of our year.
P.S. is it a Cheetah?

Rick

I've never heard of anyone brave enough to drive a Cheetah hard twice. I'm guessing a Trans Am Camaro.

I seem to remember a lot of cars other than Cobra's there in previous years. Some of them were even fast. I remember a cheap yellow plastic Chevy that passed you like you were pushing a grocery cart at the Piggly Wiggly. Excuse me sonny, do you now which isle the brakes are in.....

Besides, someone once told me it's not the car.....

I kicked your ass twice with my Cobra at Gainesville already. Let me guess, something was wrong with your car then. This time I'll kick your ass with the car that has 100 less horsepower and weighs 750 lbs more. Hey, maybe I'll even take one wheel off so you can feel your "hanging with me" in the corners. At least try to keep up with me during the parade lap and I'll show you the fast way around the track.

No Racing ! This is a driver's Education Birthday party .
Seriously, I'm aware that the smack talking is a big joke, but the guy that sort of quietly works on improving his driving skill in a methodic process will surpass a jerky non-consistant leadfoot every time (unless the lead foot drives a Lola ).

PS Not a Cheetah but close.
not a trans Am Camaro but close.

Car is right hand drive...2 seats, turn signals, no mirrors.

The lead foot is not required to be faster then Ed.

Jim

You still have not told us why you are bringing a Lounge Lizzard car to a real mans car event?

Heck my car caught on fire at this event and I am not afraid to drive it.

Come on don't be a sissy and lets see you wheel that Cobra on the track without Air Conditioning, ABS, Traction Control and a cup holder for your 64oz slurpie.

If you bring the Cobra I have a 6 pack of Dos Equis waiting.
