Deeper South Cobra Club Gathering May 14 Pictures
Larry Hess with his resent purchase of a BackDraft Racing Cobra contacted me and said he would like to get together with other Cobra owners. Larry Hess, Dan Wulff, Tom Gerber, and Jim Milliken are already in and will be at our first meeting. The date will be Saturday May 14th for a luncheon starting at noon at Bob Evans Restaurant at I-75 and Daniels in Fort Myers. Please bring your Cobra and your significant other along and join us for our first meeting to plan future gatherings of Cobra owners and enthusiasts. We hope to have your input to our future gatherings so that we could get together at least once a month. Please contact Larry Hess at flatspilots3@comcast.net on the subject line please print COBRA GATHERING or give him a call at 239-948-9179 Thanks in advance.

Congrats to Larry.
If he is 1/2 as happy as I am with a purchase of a Backdraft, I;m sure he is grinning from ear to ear.
What an awesome car.
Tomorrow I take mine out for her first cruise... to the gas station!
Have fun at the party, I'm sorry I cant make it.
Ed

I just got off the phone with Larry and he said he has 15 responses to our Saturday gathering and if everyone brings their partner we will have 30 people at our first outting. This is just a reminder that since this dry season has been wetter than usual, if it rains on May 14th please jump in the car with a top and join us, see you all on Saturday.
Dan

May 14th Pictures
We had ten Cobras in attendance at our May gathering and not one manufacturer was the same, we also had three in attendance without their Cobras as they are a work in progress. The three that came without their Cobras was Wayne Webb with a no name home built Cobra, Phil Parsons FFR Spec Racer, and Steve Mc Cormick’s FFR Roadster. Don Wareham come in a Green/White SPF Cobra, Jack Lipscomb came late because of work and missed lunch but came in his Chromalusion Blue/White Street Beasts Cobra, Dan Wulff Elegant Motors Yellow/White, John Bickel Classic Roadster White/Red, Larry Hess BackDraft Racing Silver/Gray, Tom Gerber FFR Coupe Blue/White, Jim Milliken West Coast Blue/White, Gary Proia Everitt Morrison 1998 Kit Car Illustrated Top Dog winning Cobra which is Chevy powered Black/Gray, Bill Small ERA Blue/White, and Peter Gonsalves Unique Red.
Our next outing will be June 11th as we have picked a once a month gathering and it will be the second Saturday of each month. Tom Gerber said we should give the Pig Roast another try and that is on for Sunday September 4th,2005. More info to follow on these and future dates now we with a few pictures I took at the May gathering.
