Not Ranked
Dan,
You are correct; our membership numbers have changed since the last Annual Meeting.
Many thanks go out to our Secretary Larry Hess for spending hours sanitizing our membership list.
At one time we had close to 550 entries in the DSCC registry, many of which were inactive members.
After an exhaustive re-registration process and with the addition of new members in 2006 and early 2007, our membership now stands at 428.
Once we go through the process of membership fees I'm eager to see how many "Active" members we retain.
I don’t think we can assume all the members we have lost were due to Cobra sales but I agree that was a good guess.
I think most of the membership loss was due to people not maintaining correct contact information (changes to emails, moving, etc) and therefore we have lost the ability to contact them to update/confirm their info.
It is the intent of the DSCC (once monies are generated by membership fees) to create postcards outlining information about our club.
These postcards will be distributed to all the Cobra manufacturers and included with the paperwork customers (living within the DSCC states) receive when they purchase a Cobra.
Lastly, I hope to entice our secretary to take on more work and contact each Cobra replica vendor and ask them to distribute our clubs information to their customer mailing list.
Lots of goals this year....
Right now our first hurdle is completing the new web site.
We are excited and can't wait for its release.
Cheers,
Ed
