Hi John,
I'd be happy to stop by and give you a hand with any part of your project. Setting the body on the frame was one of the more time consumming parts of the process when I was building my car. I remember that it was very difficult (impossible actually) to get perfect alignment in all planes, and in the end, I had to make compromises. As much as the E-M body was praised for its dimensional accuracy and symmetry, it was off just enough to cause me grief. The compromises I was forced to make are known to me, but not obvious to casual observers, and I suspect the same is true of most home built vehicles.
I'm very familiar with Mandarin, so let me know how I can contact you and I'll cruise by with my car, possibly this weekend. There are plenty of other cobra guys in Mandarin and the Jax area that I stay in touch with, I could probably rally some of them to come by and give you a hand also. Tom Wells hosts a (not so reliable ) website for the local NE FL car owners at firstcoastcobraclub.com, sign on and post a thread when you have a chance.
Btw, I've had the Weber IR induction system on my car for many years now and other than the lack of fuel economy, I've been more than pleased with it. Its like having stack fuel injection with the simplicity of carbs, and once they're set, all you have to do is drive....
