Moving to Florida
Hey guys, next month I will be moving PSP to sunny Florida. I will be in the Palm Coast area. I am looking forward to meeting all the local Cobra guys. I would love for you guys to check out our new shop once it's up and running. I will also be more than willing to do Cobra dyno days, and we can also use the shop for weekend Cobra get togethers.
Who here is in my area?
Can't wait to get down there .

Power Surge, Welcome to heaven, and hell. I am from Oakland Ca. originally, but ended up here in Florida by accident. Fate is sometimes more in control than I am....lol.
Hell is late July, August, and the first 2 weeks of Sept. Heaven is the Bahamas just over the horizon. Heaven is no cold weather. Heaven is the way the ladies dress in southern Florida on a warm day.....LOL
If you find yourself in the Jacksonville area. Stop on by the shop here in Orange Park....ALL MUFFLERS DIRT CHEAP......John

Power Surge,
Welcome!
I'm in St Augustine, less than 40 mi north of Palm Coast. There are a number of Cobra guys in the immediate area. Another Cobra guy is just what we need, especially if he's up to cruising around and/or some track time
Here's my web site: http://www.firstcoastcobraclub.com/ Register when you get time and keep us posted.
Let us know when you're up to a visit and we'll come see ya!

Won't have to worry about that for a while... I'm renting for at least the first year.

P Coast
Let us know where your shop is and we'll come by.
We are in P Coast until about Thanksgiving, then go back to MIA south.

Have you ordered your white Grand Marquis and white belt yet?
Be sure to get up a 5 AM for breakfast so you will be sufficently hungry for the 4 PM "Early Bird" discount dinner. Get used to seeing Cadillacs with no apparent driver and the turn signal welded in the left turn posistion.
Be afraid on divided highways, be very afraid........the members of "Gods waiting room" tend to turn into the first lane the come across....even if it is the oncoming lane!
And wonder where the fresh water for everyone in the state comes from.....Gee, couldn't be why the Everglades are shrinking?

What the Heck!
Moving from one sand bar (Long Island) to another sand bar (Florida).
Seems to me your going to end up in the same place. You won't have the drives like the one to Lime Rock this past weekend.
Good luck with your move.

Sitting here on the gulf coast in Florida for 35 years and watching more hurricanes hit Long Island (my old home) than here. Sheesh, one year with 4 hurricanes and you think the world is coming to an end....

Rates arent that bad.... I sell Real Estate for a living and live six miles from the ocean. $900 a year for 300k home. Rates went up from $600 a year yes... but how cheap was that. We really need to talking to Car Insurance companies as thats who is kiling us. I've lived in Florida all my life and have been brushed by a couple hurricanes. It was as bad as a heavy rain storm with strong gusty winds. Jacksonville to Palm Coast is a spot that very rarely sees tropical storms or hurricanes. Plus the fact you get a weeks warning.... i'll take that over tornadoes and earthquakes any day !!!

Not to hi-jack your thread.. "Quote" Rates aren't that bad.... I sell Real Estate for a living and live six miles from the ocean. $900 a year for 300k home.. Try $4000-$6000 a year here in Palm Beach County for $300,000 CBS a frame house probably more . Jacksonville must be like living in old Florida "cheap-sunny & plenty of old folks I may just have to check it out.
