Orlando Speedworld Dragway question
Hi, my family and i are flying out to Orlando, Florida in a week and a halfs time. We,re doing all the fun parks but i want to make a detour to Daytona and also i want to check out the Orlando Speedworld dragway. Anybody here been to this dragstrip, i noticed on the website they have streetracers at the dragstrip on wednesdays and fridays.
Can anyone tell me if its worth going.
Also i have heard sometimes there is a hotrod cruise or parade at one of the parks in Orlando. Can anyone help please. Paul

Paul,
Can you be more specific about when you'd be in Daytona Beach? I'm about 40 miles from there and drive there fairly often.

Thanks for your help guys,
Hank, Old Town looks great, we have got to go there one friday or saturday , hope there be some hot rods and rat rods. Looks very cool. Live bands too, what more could you want .
Tom, not sure what day we`re going to do Daytona yet, does it get really busy during the kids school holidays at the end of may or about the same. We have,nt written up our itinery yet of what days we,re doing what so to speak. Paul

Tom, where do you live in St. Augustine? The company I work with is relocating in the Spring of '09 and we are just beginning to get familiar with St. Augustine. I would like to get your insight to the community the next time we head up for a weekend. Best regards from Miami, Rick Durkin.

Rick,
I live in St Augustine Beach. We think we lucked out when we moved here five years ago, and it's still great!
We don't want anyone else to move here - getting too crowded
I'll PM you my contact info. If we're in town we'd be happy to consult.
Tom

Well, we have been back a week and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Florida. Would like to have stayed another three weeks.
We made it to "Old Town" and loved the Hot rods and customs. There were two Cobras, very nice too, i think one was a FFR.
Here are some pictures of these cars.
I did,nt see the owners, i could have asked them if they were members on Club Cobra.

Paul,
It's to bad you didin't make it to OLd Town during the snowbird season as this is when you will see a lot more cars attending this show. Now there is the heat and every day chance of rain fall.
