The 2008 RR details are being fine tuned. The Third Quarter DSCC Newsletter will be emailed to all members tonight and will layout the schedule. Here is an abbreviated version of the newsletter:
The 2008 Roundup will be held in Starke and Polk City, Florida November 6-8. This year’s event will have two days of open track at the brand new European Rally School (ERS) Bradford road track. The Bradford is a 2 mile 16
turn road course with elevation changes, cambered turns, crests and blind corners. It will be a challenging track. Track slots will be available for purchase on the DSCC website September 1.
The Reptile Roundup car show will be held on November 8th in Polk City, FL at the Fantasy of Flight (FOF). This year’s show will be a little different than past shows. Fantasy of Flight has an annual event called “Roar N Soar”, the DSCC will have a Cobra Corral at this event. Tickets may be purchased on the FOF sebsite beginning October 1. The Meet and Greet party will be at the hotel (TBA) Friday night November 7th. Don’t forget to plan on driving the Poker Run Sunday morning. The DSCC annual meeting will be held at the Banquet dinner (location TBA) on Saturday, November 8. Please purchase your dinner tickets on the DSCC website store beginning September 1.
If you have any question after reading the newsletter, give me a call at 239-948-9179
Cheers,
Larry

Wow, we have a great start on RR registrations; the orders are starting to pour in. Congratulations to Chris Moons, he had the first order.
Chris, you have been awarded a free 2009 DSCC membership for being the first to order a RR event. If the rate of orders keeps up, we will be sold out quickly for the track days. If you are thinking about driving the Bradford course, early registration is better than later-as we may not have any slots left. I hope the track enthusiasm is going to be as strong for the Cobra Corral-Car Show and Banquet Dinner when they become available for registration/purchase on Oct 1 & Sept 15 respectively. Don't forget about the Meet & Greet party and the Poker Run. Keep those orders coming, the DSCC must pay for the track in full 30 days before the event. If it is not paid in full, they will give our track days to the Corvette and Viper club-just kidding about giving our track days to the C/V club. To those who have ordered, thanks for the early support of your club.
'You' have the power to make this the best Roundup in the last 7 years. Don't let your brother & sister Cobra Drivers down-register today and on Oct 1/Sept 15.
Thanks,
Larry

OK guys lets make this the biggest gathering since the Deep South Cobra Club started. Join me November 7th at the host motel, the Lakeland Howard Johnson Inn (I-4 Exit 32), starting at 7:00pm for our meet and greet. We can thank our biggest sponsor as always Reg Dodd and Backdraft Racing Team for all the pizza and beer you can handle and also say our goodbyes to Ed Kamptner President and Robert Donehoo Vice President.
