If you can't get Jenny or a celebrity, then maybe a PRIEST?

Does someone know how to get in touch with Leno? I saw him at the Monterey historics last year admiring the vintage road race cars.

David
I'm going back to look--seems we had an email address, etc. Course--our stuff probably gets lost in fan mail. Maybe somebody out there has a better connection?
BTW--remind me to order a trans within the next few weeks--big in/little out. I'll call you next week. Lead time still a couple of weeks?

Jamo,
Lead time is 3-4 weeks right now. I am getting steady orders right now because people are preparing for road race season.

Hey DV... $33K + $44K -- WOW I had no idea! You mentioned that was the total before expenses - so what was the net - net? The way you been' shuckin' and jivin I'm guessing the expenses were minimal :-)
Maybe this year we can get the folks from Harlan's to do this as a fund raiser. They will work with us! What other expenses can we chip away?
Another question, was there ever a decision about entry fees?
So, $77K, less expenses. WOW! Maybe this year we can get some corporate sponsors that will 'match' the donations?

Dave, (See, I got it right this time! )
I'll have to check with Alyce to find out the total after exspenses but the costs were rather high last year. Although the raffle car for Fling II was highly discounted, we still had to pay quite a bit for it. Harlan's got the second biggest chunk following the cost of the packets.
It's been unanimous about Harlan's so far! They will be back for the Friday night Party! If you can get them to do more, that would be great. I've heckeled them to death
We're working on MAC Tools, Snap On tools, Jegs and Summit right now. (And have been for some time). Have no idea if any or all of them are going to come through???
Entry fees will be $100.00 per family, regardless how many in the family. This will cover the events for Friday morning at OSU, the big party with entertainment and set ups for Friday night. Also all costs associated with the event for Sunday INCLUDING the huge parade through Columbus with FOUR times as many Officers and motorcycles! (It will be safer or we wont do it!)
DV...Much more to come, and soone!

Thanks DV,
I'll send you a note with respect to Harlan's.
Just my .02 worth regarding Sunday events - - the past two years Sunday seems to be a 'wind down' day (blame it on the Raki ) and folks usually roll out in the early afternoon.
In my opinion, any Sunday event scheduled later than noon, and winding up any later than 2 will have limited participation from the travelers.
That said, what day would benefit the most from the funds and help from the local law? I'd vote Saturday evening, maybe a cruise through the downtown campus, past some night spots and ending up at the hotels, would be a big hit with the crowd. My guess is that there will be a group of crusin' Saturday night either way - so it would just lend a little more organization to the evening.

Dave,
Saturday night is now for the Quaker Steak and Lube party! One wild time. People leave as they run out of steam. Sunday is going to be one huge day. No Lodge this year on Sunday, the cruise WILL take place Sunday afternoon. The City of Columbus wants us and most of the Flingers want the finale' to be the cruise. This year it will have 3 to 4 times as many Police cruisers/ motorcycles. We will also cruise through Columbus this year two full lanes. No more single lanes for us!
I know a lot of people either are ready to wrap up early or simply have to get back home/ work/ pick up the kids or what ever. But both years, we have had more than enough Cobras and desire left to more than impress the natives.
I really hope the winner of KMP - JENNY is here to lead the parade this year!
DV.. web site coming soon...Dave, I'll drop you a return e-mail later tonight
