Let's Get Leno's Butt To The Spring Fling!
If everyone would simply email Leno asking him to attend the Spring Fling--that would be hundreds (thousands?) of requests that he would have to respond to.
Some things to mention...

Jay...
...I used to have his home phone number but not the most current one. I know Kopec at SAAC has contact still, I haven't seen Jay since he started the TONIGHT SHOW gig as he does not come to Buffalo anymore.....can't understand why not it's almost 16 degrees here today. I think the hook that could get him there would to be offering free shipment for his M&L Cobra to the DV III. Perhaps one of the groups shipping multiple cars could include his. Not that he can't afford!!!! to send the car but I think this could be the trigger that would get him there plus the charity aspect of the event.
From the small world dept. I met Jay at the Dearborn SAAC convention some years ago when Mark Gerrish was building his car. Used to see him backstage when he did shoes in town, he would call ahead leave tickets for us. One night while waiting for him backstage I run into my neighbor, turns out he was Jays's room mate in college!

McQueen????
Rdorman,
I hope not to see McQueen at the event, I think his appearance would be somewhat unsettling!

Hello All,
I have seen Dave Smith at CF charity events with Boomer Esiason, I think Boomer has a child afflicted with CF and he may have more sensitivity for the DVSF III event. He is a Celeb and may be able to reach out from his position for other notable attendees.
Just a thought....

Way to go guys (and gals, Ginny!)
All great ideas! Anybody who can make any direct (or indirect) contact--please do it.
I really like the idea of McQueen showing up--anybody got an engine stand we can use to move him around on?
Let's get Leno--and let's get the others--all of 'em. Leno fits because he has the M&L, goes to Sturgis (I told him we're louder in my email than Sturgis). I also explained how we're using Concours to transport cars from the west coast and that we'd hook him up.
Keep it going! Let's make him believe this is the one event he can't miss!

OK Jamo (Ronald ;o)! I like the engine stand approach. I also have one of the new 'King' roll around chairs from Griot's. Maybe we could find a steep hill and..........

Oh I got it! A celebrity death match and McQueen is our fall guy? Who's the first contestant!

Yes, it is indeed a good idea to call Jamo Ronald. He likes it very much and will probably send you a gift in the mail.
I did my part.
