Who is doing what?
Who is helping out on the Fling and what are you doing?
I am planning on being at the hotels on Thursday to hang out and help with registration. Who else is involved with this? Contact me and lets talk.
I helping out with some of the planning for the CobraX. Working with SCCA etc. This event could use a sponsor I think! Great exposure for not a lot of money. Frank F. contact me we need to talk about port-a-lets, food, fencing etc. We could probably use a couple volunteers to help with the crowd.
I am putting together all the maps so that all of you don't get lost. For those in attendence prior, any suggestions?
Lets help DV out and get it together! Feel like volunteering, here is your shot! Friends, family????
I need a contact for a company that puts up the orange plastic fencing like you see around construction sites. We need about 500 yards set up and taken down. This must be donated or we will not have it! To much money.
DV, if I am stepping over the line PLEASE don't be affraid to say so. My schedule over the next two months just got a LOT tighter but I am still here.
PLEASE REGISTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Rick

Rick
My only suggestion for the maps/directions would be as follows. If we are going back to the Steak & Lube, please indicate the route via the freeway that runs right along side the restaurant instead of that route through town that we used last year. The traffic was terrible and a lot of people got lost. I came back to the hotel on the freeway and it was a breeze.

Map Ideas......
Posting copies of the maps and locations on the web a week before the fling would be really helpful. I/we got there late and had a hard time finding everything until we got ahold of the package info. Just a suggestion, Scott

good info!
I know what you mean about the cars continuing up high street. I left the group and went to the free way to get there.
Good idea about putting them up in advance. Maybe online packets all together.
Thanks
Rick

We put together the info for the 'Team Jenny' drive-a-thon... that will probably be my entire participation - will need to hook up with any/all the sponsers prior to the presentation at the Lodge Friday night.

Mike,
Was kinda hoping to caravan down with you guys, and Steve, Larry, and Al (Shafer). Was hoping on Friday; early a.m. - but looks like you are heading down sometime Thursday. I think everyone is staying at the Fairfield again.
Don't forget to download the drive-a-thon stuff from the DVSF site!
Oh yeah, I now have a roll bar - probably be shamed into stripes and decals before the fling.

If you want to pick up a babe or two you need stripes and decals.
But, I guess you didn't do to bad last year.
A group ride would be fun--but, I'm thinking stuff will be going on early Friday AM--and maybe Thursday night--

Wayne and anyone else, the maps will be up on the web site as soon as Rick turns them loose
As far as the route to QS & L, at the same exit is a large, very large outdoor professional concert area. They will be holding shows all summer, the problem is, who they have scheduled for the night of the Fling. It is nothing to see traffic backed up on the freeway for over two miles. Hopefully Ricks maps will cover both routes.
DV... Thanks guys for all you help and support. I hope you know how much it is appreciated! Especially this year..Y00000!

Thanks DV!
I forgot all about the concerts. I will have to keep that in mind. This week is bad for me. Maps will probably not be ready for a week or two.

Yep polaris
There is a Brooks and Dunn concert on June 22 @ 5PM. Since we should be hitting that area at about 5 after the parade, 71 is a crap shoot. Should be OK, but....... There is no concert listed on Friday or Saturday. So we should be good that day.
Rick
Brooks and Dunn fans order tickets for the show while you are here. Polaris is right across the freeway from Quaker Steak and Lube and if you like you could wrap the Fling with a Concert.

Don't sell it short!
Since we have people coming in on Thursday, we also have all day Thursday and Friday during the day! Then there is that Monday rumor.
If you are looking for people to get together with to go out to eat at the Fling, you will NOT have to look far.
