FinishLine... again & again AND again.
Finish Line..you know FinishLine don't you? Paula and Enzo? This is almost embarrassing. You know sponsors don't usually come easy for us. We call, we write, we hound, we beg, we plead, and if that doesn't work I get on my knees and simply make a fool out of myself for Jenny and the Fling.
Well, Paula and Enzo just take all the fun out of my fundraising attempts! I just never get a chance to do any of the above. Last week, just another day at the shop. UPS comes in, like they do everyday, only this time there is an unsolicited package from FinishLine. No begging, no pleading, not even a cajoling phone call! The box is of course full of Cobra items-no note, no message
just parts. Of course we use FinishLine for a lot of our own Cobra builds. I holler at my partner Jay, and ask him what the hell did he order all this stuff for since all our on line Cobras are past the stage of needing these parts and pieces. Of course he has no idea what I am talking about.
I then start looking for the bill of lading, NOTHING! I look inside, take everything out and still no bill! OK, Ol' DV didn't get off the boat yesterday, I turn the box upside down and inside out, still no bill! It finally dawns on me that Paula and Enzo were way ahead of me! Yes, this very large box, loaded to the point of bulging was donated items for the Fling...just to benefit a very sick little girl named Jenny. No cajoling took place, no pleading, not even a simple phone call asking for their help. It just came...as always.
Paula, Enzo, The Mrs. and I thank you so much for your help. Jenny thanks you for your support and of course not only "our" Cobra Family thanks you but, "your" Cobra family thanks you.
DV...there would be no DVSF without the help of all of you!

Unfortunately Paula and Enzo wont make it again this year. I badgered that poor women until I thought she was going to shed tears. This year, like prior years, you could just tell in her voice she wanted really wanted to come. It was quite apparent to me that they just coldn't make the time.
They know "WE" will miss them, but they also know "WE" will be wishing them well and will certainly be thinking about them!
DV...we are going to miss you guys....

It was a Tuesday or Wednesday (I forget which). I had a race coming up the next weekend. Needed some parts and I mean needed them YESTERDAY!! Called Finish Line, told them the problem, I'll pay extra for "extreme shipping costs" or whatever it took just GET the parts here NOW!
Got my parts on Friday!!!! Saturday morning I'm at the track and looking good! I was blown away ANYBODY can get parts to Hawaii THAT fast! Best service I ever got!

Sorry to hear Paula and Enzo cannot be there. What a class act. They will be present in a big way with their wonderful charity.

If you want a great story about Finishline, here goes: Last Sunday I emailed Finishline to order some parts and at the same time i emailed Trigo for some information. I received the parts delivered to my door in Melbourne Australia, 8 days later. I still havent received an email from Trigo. Absolutely amazing service from Finishline, i cant thank them enough.
Andy.

enzo
With a class act like Enzo why would you even think of ordering from someone else (unless he does not stock it). It is always a pleasure dealing with people who have their head and their heart in the right places. I am still trying to see if he can come up with that cloaking device to save on speeding tickets....
