Default Hey DV, I've got an idea. Name tags?

DV,
Maybe I missed it somewhere along the way, but is there any plan to have some type of name tag for everyone who registers?

Maybe you could hand out blank name tags at the registration table. People can fill in their names, along with their user name on the forums. I think this would make it much easier for people to connect names they see on here with a face.

Whaddya think?

Steve

Hi Steve,

Did you see the tags from last year's Fling?

They had name, city and car (kit) mfr all in nice big letters

They were obviously designed and produced by geniuses, and I hope DV uses the exact same ones this year!

Tom

PS: The holders could have been a little bit more "wind resistant"

That's what I get for missing the Fling last year. I stand corrected.
Was there a place for putting a user name? I know I'll put mine down. I know more user names than real ones.

Steve,

My "corporate memory" tells me there was no board ID on the tag. It does sound like a good idea to add it - where appropriate, of course

FYI

First Year..... very predominant "real" name, with a smaller case on-line screen name, and a smaller case car manufacture.

Second Year..... very prodominant on-line screen name, with a smaller case real name, followed by a smaller case car manufacture and home state. Also present was your auction bid number.

I've kept mine, as you can tell

OK
The cats almost out of the bag anyway
Part of that entry fee is for new and improved name tags! This will teach you to complain about the wind!

Actually these are really neat.

Hard plastic, just like a real ID card
DVSF Logo in the back ground
Your "Handle"
Real name
Cobra Make
Your Auction number which WILL be your car number.
A really cool neck band to hang them from
Wind Proof!

So, you see how important it is that you register ASAP or you will end up with a "non wind-proof" ID card!

DV

Sounds great, but I don't remember the registration process asking for a screen name. That IS the only name many of us know one another by.
Waiting anxiously for June 19,
Jeff

Lucy! (Ed) you've got some 'splainin to do!

I've added the screen name / alias field for both the primary and secondary registrants. (I didn't want to hear any whining from any (Anon) Mistresses. )

None of the registrations, to-date, have the alias information loaded, but it will be simple enough for everyone to go back into their registration form to add their "handles."

Got a couple of COBRA-themed club shirts, and a whole mess of "eye-catching" Tee-shirts.
